I can’t even describe how much I suffered emotionally because of my nose.. Hoping this will really be the last time, I finally had surgery yesterday. I had the first surgery because I was worried about my low nose.. but the result was a crooked nasal bridge and uneven nostrils. I couldn’t get it corrected right away at the time, and after a lot of time passed, I had a second surgery early last year to straighten the nasal bridge... This time, the nasal bridge was straightened.. but a lot of my nostrils showed... the columella also became shorter and retracted.. and on top of that my nose became red and things kept appearing on the nasal tip,... So... I was so worried it might be inflammation that I went to a university hospital and several other places, and the result was that there was a possibility of inflammation.. So I came to the conclusion that if I was going to have surgery anyway, it would be better to do it quickly. At first I thought about using dermis.. but I heard dermis could also have side effects.. So I just removed the silicone... corrected only the lifted nasal tip by lowering it... and had surgery to correct only the nasal tip with cartilage.. I also wanted to remove the septal strut in my nose, but the doctor said that if the septal strut were removed, the nose would likely become more upturned, so he did not remove it.. Anyway, just the fact that there is no silicone in my nose makes me feel at ease. In my heart, of course I’d like a pretty nose.. but I.. feel like nose surgery just isn’t meant for me.. ㅠㅜ After the surgery, the doctor said there had been inflammation in my nose and that it was good I removed the silicone.. He said that because of the inflammation, there was as much as 3 mm of scar tissue on the nasal bridge...ㅜ And after surgery, the doctor came to the recovery room and explained how the surgery went, which I was grateful for. Until now, I had never had a doctor come to the recovery room after surgery and explain the progress like that... But during this surgery, I woke up from sedation midway.. so from the middle they did it under local anesthesia.. and that was really distressing too.. It hurt and was scary.ㅠㅜ Since there is no silicone, there won’t be any more days when I have nose surgery, right?? Actually, it had been uncertain whether there was inflammation inside my nose.. but now that I found out there was.. I’m worried that contracture might come next. My nose is already low, and if contracture happens too.. ugh.. that would be the worst...ㅜㅠ This is truly the last time... I just hope the nasal tip is okay... I really, really hope I never have to put a knife to my nose again.. Even if it’s not pretty, I hope I can just live without worry with a low nose... Sigh. I really think people like me, who are not suited for nose surgery, are better off not doing it from the beginning. I did it for nothing, damaged my body, suffered a lot emotionally.. wasted time and wasted money.. phew...
