Hello.. I’m a female college student, and I wanted to make some kind of change to my face, so I got nose surgery... I did it impulsively without much information, and after the surgery I found this community. As I read the posts here, I keep thinking I was too hasty.. I feel sorry to my mom, and the money is a waste, but I think removing it as soon as possible may be better than struggling later..
1. First, if I remove it, can my nose shape go back to how it was before? I didn’t really shave down my nose or anything.. I simply raised the bridge.. but I’m worried because of the ear cartilage.. I heard that because of ear cartilage, the skin can become thin and the nasal tip can turn red, and I heard it is hard to remove all the ear cartilage.. If even a little ear cartilage remains inside the nose, do I have to live with these worries for the rest of my life even after removal?
2. If I want removal, how many months after surgery is the most appropriate time? It has now been two months since my surgery. Regardless of whether I’m satisfied or dissatisfied, I want removal because of psychological reasons.. Is it better to remove it as early as possible? People around me say it is a waste of money and that I should rather remove it around the time side effects appear. What do you all think?
3. After removal, can I live while touching my nose freely like before? Can I think of it as completely the same as before surgery? Making a pig nose, pinching my nose, etc.. are all of those possible? I didn’t only get silicone; I raised the nasal tip with ear cartilage too ㅠㅠ I’m a little worried because of this..
4. After removal, how long can you not go outside? About how long does it take for the nose to completely return? Is there swelling and things like that? What should I do about glasses?
5. What kinds of things happen after removal? Are they all temporary? When I read the removal board, there was talk about contracture and things like that, so I wish someone would organize it all in one place..
6. Are there side effects after removal? If removal finishes successfully, can I erase all memories of having had surgery and live with peace of mind? Like cosmetic surgery was completely just an incident that never existed in my life? ㅠㅠ
7. Is it possible to remove everything with a closed approach? Even the ear cartilage?
I think I made such a hasty decision out of immaturity, and I hope many people will answer.. ㅠㅠㅠㅠ If only I had known this site before surgery... I wouldn’t have wasted that hard-earned money..
