I originally had monolids, and my eyelids were very droopy and stretched out. So every time people saw me for the first time, they always said I looked scary. My older sister got double eyelid surgery when she started college, and it turned out really well, so I thought I wanted to try it too, and I did...
I had incisional surgery because I had a lot of fat in my eyes and my skin was thick. The line height is about 5 mm. It’s been about 1 year and 6 months now. I asked the doctor to make the double eyelid line as invisible as possible and just make my eyes look bigger, but the inner part of the line is almost invisible, while the outer part is slightly visible. I wish it were completely covered.
It’s fine that my eyes are bigger and more of my pupils show, but I still feel awkward looking like this. I think I looked better with monolids.
If I could undo it, I would want to, but since it was the incisional method and so much time has passed, it seems difficult. I am looking into reversal surgery.
