We decided to use round implants, but because I have pectus carinatum, we had decided to use implants with a narrow width and high projection. Since I’m unmarried, I was a bit hesitant to do it through the areola, so we decided on an axillary incision, but when I woke up from a long period of sedation anesthesia, they had inserted them through the areola.
Without even my consent... They said they tried to insert them through the armpit, but the bag didn’t go in well, so they did it through the areola...... One armpit was apparently just cut and stitched, and it healed roughly in a way that isn’t very noticeable, but the other side was cut about 10 cm. The location of the axillary incision is absurd too. It wasn’t cut near where armpit hair grows. When standing at attention, along the armpit line that continues below the end of the clavicle, it was incised, so not only is it 100% exposed, the wound kept opening, and in the end it healed while open ㅠ In the end, I had scar revision surgery at 6 months on the area that was cut 10 cm, and even though I didn’t use my arm for 2 weeks, it opened again from the tissue inside the skin, so the outside is only covered by a thin layer of skin, with a lot of redness remaining... I’m just giving up and planning to get a scar cover-up tattoo later...
Putting that aside, the areola... they incised more than half of it, so it also kept opening. That area also healed while open.. from the side view, the shape protrudes outward in a bulge. Simply put, everyone who sees my body is surprised, shocked, and left speechless. The director who did the surgery doesn’t seem to care much, which makes me even more hurt, wronged, and full of hatred. If I ask for treatment, they give me one laser treatment and a steroid injection. If he’s in a bad mood, he even acts annoyed. My life has become so ruined that if I break up with my current boyfriend, I won’t even be able to meet another partner.. (My current boyfriend knows the whole situation.)
I regret it so much, again and again. I want to go back to before I got my breasts done... At least it isn’t the absolute worst, like capsular contracture, so I barely live by taking comfort in that.. If the shape were really pretty, I’d at least have hope, but one side even has rippling now ㅡㅡ They said it would get better if I waited, but it’s been over a year and several months, and it’s the same. They don’t even ask whether the rippling improved and don’t care.
Because I could get it done more cheaply if I did it at the workplace where I was employed, I didn’t really consider other places. Before I had mine done, I saw surgeries on other staff and patients, and even with round bags, they had a good teardrop shape. Also, the surgical method was supposedly one that absolutely would not cause capsular contracture, so putting other things aside, I really trusted that part. But although I didn’t get capsular contracture, getting hit this hard from behind by something I never even imagined has left me unable to come to my senses.
And after I had surgery, I ended up seeing that people who had breast surgery at this hospital before all in a row had also been incised in strange locations like me and healed while the wounds were open. If I had seen that earlier, I never would have had surgery................
Really...... I felt it painfully in my bones that this kind of thing should be done at a specialized clinic, even if it costs money.
I’m living while trying as hard as I can to ignore thoughts about this and the scars left on my body. Because just thinking about it makes me angry, makes me want to cry, makes me feel like I’m going crazy, and torments me. I’ll keep getting treatment from that director until it’s resolved... but I also wonder if there’s any other way ㅠ... Even if I cover the armpit with a tattoo, can an areolar scar be covered with a tattoo? ㅠㅠ I think it would look strange and not suit the area...
After suffering over it for more than a year, I’m writing here as if venting my resentment.
