I had a consultation for alar reduction. They explained convincingly whether alar reduction alone would be enough or whether it would be effective only if done together with other nose surgeries. The conclusion was that if I do alar reduction alone, I shouldn’t expect a dramatic effect, and although they can do it if I only want the standalone surgery, they told me to think about it because it won’t become the pretty nose I’m imagining. It was good because they assessed my nose condition well and consulted comfortably without any pressure. They said that during alar reduction, they also reduce the width of the nostril floor, so it seemed good in terms of scarring and effect.
