I posted on the website of the hospital where I had the removal, asking why my nostrils were uneven and whether this would come down, and they told me to come in. They said they would explain.
I took the bus again from Gwangju to Seoul and came backㅠ
I’m writing this on the bus back to Gwangju now.
The first photo was taken right before the removal surgery. The second is the day after removal. The third is today, day 13 after removal.
First of all, about my nostrils becoming uneven, they said my nose was originally deviated to the left, and because they straightened it, the nostrils became uneven.
After feeling inside my nose, they said my septal bone is on the left, and if I want, they can do a surgery to place the septal bone in the center.
They said then the uneven nostrils would also improve more.
Second is that the nasal tip is too high.
To me, from the side, it looks way too upturned.
When I asked whether this would come down, they said later, once the hardness in the nose loosens, it would come down a little more, though not a lot.
When I asked how much it would come down, they said it could come down about 2-3 mm.
If I want it to come down more than that, they said they would cut one of the sutures tying the nasal tip.
They said it would be simple because it is just cutting one suture through a closed approach.
Third, I asked whether the gathered nasal tip would loosen.
Right now, maybe because the nasal tip is tightly clumped and firm, only the nasal tip is standing up high.
Compared to my old nose, the nose shape looks much more gathered.
When I asked if this would loosen, they said this would also loosen slightly if I wait. Of course, not a lot...
To summarize, if I wait, the nasal tip will come down a bit more and loosen slightly more. The nostrils will also show slightly less than now.
But if I want more than a slight change, meaning for it to come down a bit more and for the nasal tip to spread a bit more, I have to cut the tied suture. Of course, the nostrils would also show less.
Whether to wait or cut is my choice.
But if I cut it, I have to decide by the end of this month.
It has to be cut before one month passes.
As for the uneven nostrils, if I pay an extra 300,000 won, they can move the position of the septal bone when cutting the nasal tip tie.
Since I was unsure, they told me to wait just 2 more weeks first and then decide, so I said okay and left.
Of course, 2 weeks probably won’t be enough for the nasal tip to come down..
After a month, adhesions form, so cutting it would be meaningless....
But if I cut it, I’m worried again... whether it is the right thing to do...
They say it will come down, but can I trust those words...
It seems like it would come down roughly about 2 mm more, but would that lifted feeling disappear if it comes down 2 mm from my current nose....
My head feels like it’s going to explode..ㅠㅠ
I’m debating whether to cut the suture or not.
After touching my nose, they said the swelling is almost all gone now.
Right now my nasal tip alternates between soft and hard.
If all the hardness loosens, will it really come down....
If it doesn’t come down, then it will be too late. They say cutting the suture would be meaningless then....
