As the title says, it has been 1 year since I had eye partial incision + epicanthoplasty revision surgery. Before the revision, I had just had buried method + epicanthoplasty surgery, and although the eye shape looked natural and was fine, I was preparing for a job that faces the camera, so I wanted a more defined look, so I made the line a bit bigger with partial incision and also had a slightly stronger epicanthoplasty because of the eye shape.
But when it comes to double eyelid surgery, whether it’s buried method or partial incision, if you tell a skilled doctor the style and thickness of the line you want, it seems like they can match it roughly. Epicanthoplasty, though, really feels like a gamble. With epicanthoplasty, it’s almost impossible to get exactly the inner corner shape you want, and even if you ask for just a tiny widening, it tends to end up slightly more open than you imagined. But it wasn’t just me; the people around me who had it done said the same thing. Before my revision surgery, it was widened only a little, so I didn’t really notice it, but after the second time I really felt it. I’m not completely unhappy with the current shape, but if it were closer to the shape I wanted, I’d feel about 2% less disappointed. Overall, right after the surgery, the swelling went down really slowly and it took a long time for the epicanthoplasty shape and overall look to become natural, so I was very stressed, but now I’m fairly satisfied with the result~
When I first had the buried method + epicanthoplasty, there was really almost no swelling, but with partial incision there was definitely more swelling, and if the line is made thicker it lasts even longer, so since it was a revision surgery, I think that made it even more so.
