I had LASEK surgery in 2009, so this year marks my 16th year. For distance vision, I still maintain 1.0 or higher every time I have an eye exam. However, many things look hazy and blurry, which affects me. As astigmatism or hyperopia developed, I ended up getting glasses that I use separately for near vision at work. They say ophthalmologists do not recommend vision correction surgery to their family members, but when I think about how my eyes used to get bloodshot and sting painfully from wearing contact lenses, I think it was not a bad surgery (at least so far).
