Hello? I’m someone who had only the silicone removed a few days ago (L-shaped silicone 3 mm / ear cartilage and cartilage tying were not removed). I had it removed after 2 years. I also had a slight hump shaved down, and when I touch it, the hump really is gone...ㅋㅋㅋ Today, on day 5, I went to the hospital and had the taping and sutures removed. At first, when the taping was removed, it felt so refreshing, but when I looked at my face, it looked funny. My whole nose is still very swollen. I didn’t know while the taping was on, but the nose is a bit swollen. It’ll gradually go down. 1. Day of surgery I think the surgery took about an hour. I had sedation anesthesia, and I dreamed that I was running around in a golden field --; The doctor said only the silicone was removed, and I wanted to see the silicone, but they said they had already thrown it away, so I couldn’t see it. When I had the silicone nose surgery, my head and nose felt so heavy, but after this surgery, it only felt slightly dazed; my nose felt light and I had no particular symptoms. There was so little bleeding that the gauze placed on my nose almost seemed unnecessary. There wasn’t much swelling either. And the next day and the day after that, I was surprised because, except for the taped nose, there was almost no swelling. When I had the silicone nose surgery, I swelled so, so much, and the swelling really lasted a long time. But this time there was no swelling at all, so it was really unexpected. I only ate porridge on the day of surgery, and after that, since my nose didn’t bother me much, I ate freely (but no coffee) and just took my medicine properly. I also kept a humidifier on. But sleeping flat on my back was really hard, so I slept with my head turned slightly at an angle.. That’s what I did. There isn’t really any silicone to shift anymore... I also diligently drank ginger tea, which is said to help with inflammation, and yuja tea with vitamin C. 2. Day 5 After removing the taping and sutures, the shape of my nose is, first of all, funny. It’s funny. Even though only 3 mm had been inserted, my nose looks really broadㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ It was lower than I expected, so I had my first moment of disappointment, but I don’t particularly miss when the silicone was in. What I mean is, I can tolerate it. Once the swelling on both sides goes down anyway, I don’t think it will look that bad. The nasal tip does stand out a bit, but I don’t mindㅎㅎㅎㅎ I’m just going to live like this without touching it anymore. Oh, and my reason for removing the silicone was that the nasal dorsum had turned bluish (only on cold days), but also because my skin is thin and I originally don’t have much facial fat, so maybe because of the silicone, my overall skin felt kind of lifted off. My cheekbones also looked more swollen than before, and my upper eyelids looked more crowded and swollen, so because of the silicone, the skin seemed lifted and my facial contours themselves didn’t stand out. So after removing it, my eyes feel like they returned and my cheekbones feel like they settled back down, so I’m satisfied. It’s not that devastating.^^
