1st surgery - natural adhesion 2nd surgery - natural adhesion I think it has been about 8-9 months since the second surgery I had it done in early September last year And something like milia started appearing on my double eyelid line from February 2025 When I first found the milia, it was not that big, so I left it alone But it gradually became visible to the point that the line looked bumpy even when I opened my eyes So I had it removed with a laser The next time I found something like milia on my eye was in April This time, I went to a dermatology clinic to have it removed, and they said it was not milia They said it seemed like inflammation, inflammation that had collected inside So while they were puncturing it with a needle and removing it, they said it seemed like the inflammation was being caused by a suture After they removed all the inflammation, the suture was sticking out enough to bother me, so I thought it would be a short thread and tried to pull it out, but it kept coming out I immediately called the plastic surgery clinic and explained it They said this kind of thing can happen But is this normal? For now, they said that if I visit the plastic surgery clinic, the only thing they can do is pull the thread a little more, cut only both ends, and finish it that way. They said they are sorry, but it is something I have to understand When I asked what they would do if the line comes undone They said they would fix it again, but only within 2 years. It has already been 8-9 months, and now the suture has come out.. This is the first time something like this has happened, so I am really flustered and do not know what to do, so I am posting for the first time.. Just in case, I did not write anything about the hospital at all Is this okay? Please leave comments ㅠㅠ!
poiuyt21 Mine was a slightly shorter suture than that, but the crease dropped right away within a few weeks because I went to the hospital to have the protruding suture removed.
얌므 This happened to me too. I had sebum build up along the double eyelid line, and instead of going to the hospital I squeezed it myself, and the thread came out. If I pulled on it, it would come out and then go back in again, and my eyelid got swollen up badly because of bacteria, it was a mess. They also said the sebum seemed to keep building up because of the stitch. For me, enough time had passed since the surgery that even if the stitch was removed, the chance of the double eyelid coming undone was low, so I just had it removed. Did they use anesthesia? I don’t remember, but it ended really quickly. It wasn’t at the level of an actual operation. And I took antibiotics and wore an eye patch until the swelling went down, but I think the swelling didn’t even last a week.
냔냐냥냥 Oh no, what happened? ㅜㅜㅜ
가나나나다 Oh no... I also had natural adhesion...
yomiming Oh my.. what is this.. I also have milia that have been on my double-eyelid line for a while and I can't touch themㅠㅠ because I'm scared.. So cases like this happen too ㅠㅠ
soooi2 Oh no, I think it would be good to ask the hospital! ㅠㅠ
홍길동이7 Usually in cases like that, they do revision surgery.. Pull it and cut only both ends..? Does that just mean they will cut only the thread that is sticking out?
비가우진 Shouldn’t they remove everything and redo it? The person doing the laser must have been shocked
zogata There are cases where they leave thread inside. My acquaintance had that too. Usually they tell you after the surgery, but sometimes they do not. So my acquaintance had revision surgery and removed all the remaining thread. I think you may need revision surgery
지워주 [@zogata] Double eyelid surgery is usually a procedure that fixes the lid by placing thread inside the eye.
토콩이 You should probably ask the hospital once..?
랖잉 Oh no, don’t they use dissolvable sutures these days???
annan For natural adhesion, I have only seen dissolvable sutures, so this is my first time seeing thread like that...
Reader 14 This is a private post.
당콩콩 I know that for buried suture double eyelid surgery, using non-dissolvable sutures is actually better Because they can be undone later and hold the fixation for a long time But that really seems like something you need to ask people who have experienced it or doctors
Reader 16 This is a private post.
colib Some places use dissolvable sutures and some use non-dissolvable sutures, but it looks like you had non-dissolvable sutures..! But for this, I think you should ask the hospital and get aftercare service
Winsleep You really need to ask a doctor about this
띠용쓰 Non-dissolving thread is much better, and apart from that, it would be a bit shocking.
다나아아아 You should have been more careful. That’s ridiculous.
ahyun You should see the doctor as soon as possible ㅠㅠ
유유쿠 I had a suture stick out about a year after surgery too, and the hospital removed it after only charging me the anesthesia fee. Get it removed quickly….ㅠㅠ
judjw I’m so shocked to hear that a case like that existsㅠㅠ Please go get treated as soon as possible.
우주씨 But even if they use non-absorbable sutures, if it comes out like that and causes inflammation, didn’t they mess up the stitching in the first place.. you must have been absolutely horrified ㅠㅠ
머찡화니 Oh. Does this kind of thing happen too? You must have been so shocked ㅠㅠ
안녕하새연 Oh.....you should go to the hospital as soon as possibleㅠㅠㅠ
휘낭 If it were the outer corner of the eye maybe, but if it's at the inner corner... pulling that out might loosen all the fixation stitches inside too... You should ask for a revision. Did you talk directly with the doctor?
봄이아비식이 I had this happen after my first surgery in 2016, and the hospital corrected it after charging only the minimum for anesthesia and materials. After that first time, it never came out again.
Zzl존쌍수 I’ve heard that non-absorbable thread is better, though..
귀엽고싶다 That must have been really hard for you...
흑랑이 Oh dear... that must have been so hard on you emotionally. Please visit a clinic soon and consult with a doctor ㅠㅠ
다르만 Whoa... you should go to the hospital ASAP??
섭섭ha네진짜 Whoa, I’ve never seen something like that.... judging by the comments, it seems like this happens quite a bit, but go to the hospital right awayㅠㅠㅠ
효쥐 Wow, did you ask the hospital about it?
잉이익 Go to the hospital and ask them as soon as possible.
최가네쫑 I learned for the first time from the comments that there are cases where non-absorbable sutures are used....
늘보00 It sounds like the non-absorbable thread was left in ㅜㅜㅜ so maybe that's why, but you should go back to the hospital soon
와 Shouldn't you go back to the hospital ASAP??
차갑게사라 Wow, oh my god, the doctor there seems like someone who really can't do it..?
우리집개코코 Oh my, which hospital is that... that’s so scary
몽글몽글이 It looks stingy and painful. Are you okay? I feel hurt just looking at it.ㅠ... Let's get it removed soon.
롱두더지 I think you should contact the hospital.. ㅠㅠ
쀽큥 Whoa, with natural adhesion ㅠ it’s the dissolvable thread...
뽐뿜빵 Could you tell me the hospital information..?
ㅇㅇ아르 Are you insane? Have you been to the hospital?
봉랑 Crazy, what if that leaves a scarㅠㅠㅠ
아02 Wow, this seems like something you’d be justified in asking the hospital about and complaining over no matter what
Reader 48 Whoaㅠㅠㅠㅠ Could I possibly get the hospital information......?
Reader 49 Oh my God.. The moment I saw it, I felt my blood run cold This needs action from the hospital immediately, doesn't it..? I think you need to go right away ㅜㅠ
Reader 50 Which hospital is it??ㅠㅠ I'm also looking into revision surgery, and I didn't know natural adhesion could turn out like that..
Reader 51 Oh no, you must have been so shockedㅠㅠㅠ I hope it gets resolved wellㅠㅠ
Reader 52 It's ridiculous that they can casually say things like that happen. If they had done it properly, shouldn't it be normal for this not to happen ㅠ?
Reader 53 You must have been really shocked when the stitch came out. But why did inflammation happen? Their response is kind of not great...ㅎ
Reader 54 The inflammation should also have been managed well, but can that really happen after 8-9 months ;;;;
덤보씨 If you just cut it off like that, it feels dangerous… what if it gets infected… ask the hospital
소미미 Oh no ㅠㅠ Please go to the hospital
바켠디 No, how could that even be possible;; And it’s not even dissolvable thread, right?
유자얌 How is that normal from any angle? Are you insane..!?
미둥2 Oh my.. you must have been so surprised
지나펭수 No, you have to go to the hospital no matter what.!
부리부리자에몽 Ah, seriously, I'm so angry on your behalf. You must have been so shocked..
바닐라라떼10 Whoa, scary. What happened in the end???
888sappho I asked the doctor during consultations, and they said they use non-absorbable thread for double eyelid surgery..! By the way, did things get resolved well?
리리리아류 Oh wow.. you must have been so shocked ㅜㅜ Has it been resolved now ??
로뉌상 Wow.. that sounds way too scary
올웨이즈킴 It looks like there may be a problem, and you must have been really shocked ㅠㅠ
태태콩 My friend kept pulling out the thread by herself and her double eyelids came undone.. 꼭 go to the hospital ㅜㅜ
스리라차라너 Are you kidding? There’s no such thing as “natural adhesion” here; it’s bound to loosen over time. It’s better to take everything out and redo it later. . Better to remove it all than only cut part of it... And that doctor was way too careless with the surgery.
moon09 I think you should go to the hospital... ㅜㅜ Is it resolved now?
아냐어애타 Which hospital is this? They should do the revision surgery for this.. for free and as soon as possibleㅡㅡ
gg요 Please go to the hospital as soon as possible ㅠㅠㅠㅠ
돌돌0 No, this is something they should redo.... That must have been scary.
팡팡팡앙 Oh my, did you go to the hospital...?
4236 Oh no.. I think you need to go to the hospital.. It hurts just reading this..
개냥냥 Oh no, that must be so shocking. Can't they remove it, let the inflammation heal, and then do double eyelid surgery again;;ㅠㅠ
금강산 So what did you end up doing? Did you pull it and remove it? Are you okay?
Weweb Wow.. that's insane
닝닝냥냥멍 Did you go to the hospital?ㅠㅠㅠ
수톤 Oh no, I also had natural adhesion. I didn't know the thread wasn't dissolvable.
llin치 Oh.... Did you tell the hospital where you had the surgery? ㅜㅜ
쁭잉 I've had that happen too.. Hurry and go to the hospital.
쟈니링 Wow, that's too much. Insane ....
오느름잉 Don't touch it ㅠㅠㅠㅠ
오느름잉 What happened in the end……..?
파가니니파니 I also have a thread sticking out. It's because the doctor didn't properly place the thread under the eyelid skin.. When I went to the hospital, they said it was my fault, that it was because my skin is thin.. They didn't do anything for me..ㅠㅠ If the thread is sticking out, it stings and hurts when you drink alcohol.. How on earth am I supposed to live like this..
칸쵸 Did you call the hospital??
앙앙잉1243355 Oh no, what happened,,? You should go to the hospital. Don't touch it.
vvi96 Ugh, that must hurt ㅜㅜ I think you need to go to the hospital.

바크콜록 Oh no, you must have been really shocked. At that level, shouldn't they give a partial refund?
루돌프여 You must have been so flustered. I think you should go and ask them to redo it.
킴감쟈 Oh no.. I didn't know this kind of side effect could happen. At this point, rather than after-service, I think it would be better to just get a partial refund and go to another hospital.
LiLili1u Wow.. you must be really flustered ;; Make sure to get a refund or after-service!
페이스튠 Isn't that crazy…? You must have been shocked.

웅돌 Wow, I was like that too, and maybe because one side was like that, only one side came undone
에일리03 Definitely get aftercare service!! You must be upsetㅠㅠ Could you possibly tell me where that place is?
qlqlqlql Isn't that crazy?? Make sure to get a refund and try another hospital!
