I also got so much help from this community, so I thought there would be many people who are curious. I checked my condition every day in my notes app and am writing this based on that.^^
I only had a septal support graft + alar reduction + 2 mm silicone. Originally, I had a slightly bulbous nose + arrow-shaped nose. My nose looked long and my eye impression changed, so after completing 3 months, I paid the anesthesia fee and had surgery at the hospital where I had my original surgery. (This director unusually said removal could be done right away.. Please don’t ask me which director it wasㅠㅠ) Oh, and I left a little of the support graft in.
I had the removal on Saturday morning. The surgery took exactly 1 hour. Compared with the first surgery, maybe because I had experience, it was less difficult and I came around quickly, to the point that I even took the subway homeㅋㅋㅋ A little blood only stained out from one nostril, and it continued until evening. Because there was less blood than I expected, they didn’t put in cotton or anything, so breathing was easier than after my first surgery. My nose really felt light.
Next day - Just like the day of surgery, my face wasn’t swollen. My nose was slightly upturned like after the first surgery, and that day my nose was blocked, so it was hard.
Day 2 - I woke up and the nasal tip had definitely lowered. Still, because the nasal tip angle is raised, it looks higher than my old nose. I went to the hospital for disinfection, and since I had to go to school, I insisted and got the taping removed too. Shockingly, it was extremely broad.. The nasal tip was very swollen and looked like a pig nose, and my impression went back to being similar to before surgery. I definitely look gentler. But I looked much uglier than my old face. Even my boyfriend who went with me said, “Wow, the nasal bridge really gets low”.. Really! It looked broader than my original nasal bridge. It’s not a sense of loss; the height is the same as my original nasal bridge, but it doesn’t feel slim! The nasal bridge from the side looks similar.
Day 3 - The nasal tip height has gone down a lot, but overall it’s swollen. The nasal tip is plump. The feeling that my nose looks long has definitely disappeared. The nasal bridge is still shocking..
Day 4 - The nasal tip is swollen, but I like it. But the nasal bridge is still.. It’s fascinating that nothing hurts at all. The nasal bridge doesn’t hurt at all, and the nasal tip doesn’t hurt either. The nasal tip was soft at first and is now a little firm, but it’s definitely less firm than after the surgery. If it used to be about 100 in firmness, now it’s about 70? I really should have done only this much from the beginning..
Day 5 (current) - Since I put on makeup and am a little more used to my face, I’m not extremely depressed. It may also look a bit less broad than on day 2.. I’m also a little embarrassed about the gloomy post I wrote below.. Still, the shaved nasal bridge still looks flatㅠㅅㅠ I want to put even 1 mm in, or even get filler.. My nose really has both the pre-surgery feel and the post-surgery feel. The nasal bridge is pre-surgery, and the nasal tip is post-surgery..?
Still, I don’t regret removing my nose implant. Even though my nose surgery was a successful case, I had a hard time psychologically every time I looked in the mirror, and that has disappeared. Also, subjectively, it’s not as good as my old face, but my face looks prettier than after the nose surgery. Objectively that may not be true..ㅎㅎ But people barely notice, since I had only a little done..ㅋㅋ
I’ll post another review at 2 weeks. Hoping the nasal bridge looks a bit better then.. I hope it will be a positive post. Until then, I should come into this community less, look in the mirror less, and focus hard on daily life!!
