I had surgery at the end of February, so it’s already been 4 months. I had it done at a hospital near Sinnonhyeon, and I did it together with square-jaw surgery and my nose. (I think I’ll need to redo the nose..) For the first month, I really regretted it. I felt like I had become uglier, and the swelling wasn’t going down properly. But as expected, plastic surgery is about patience; after a month passed, the shape gradually started to come out. But maybe because I didn’t have a severe protruding mouth, there isn’t a dramatic effect, but I think the side profile changed much more than the front view. At first, there were hospitals that told me to do double-jaw surgery, so I really went to a lot of consultations and even looked up papers while thinking it over. For those considering surgery for a protruding mouth, if your occlusion is not very misaligned or anything like that, I think ASO is probably the right choice rather than double-jaw surgery!
