Review of alar reduction and cartilage tying

My nose was originally the kind of bulbous nose where, when I took photos with the regular camera, only my nose would come out looking really big, with no dimension at all, kind of flattened-looking... While looking into rhinoplasty, I was scared of implants because I never knew when side effects might happen, so I didn’t get greedy. I wanted something natural, where my original nose would just get slightly smaller? That kind of result. I searched online and went around to hospitals said to be well-known, and at this hospital, they said my nose was a bulbous nose and also a long nose, and when viewed from the side, the area in front of my nasal tip was slightly sunken, so they thought that part could be filled with dermis from the alar reduction incision. They also said the nasal tip could be lifted slightly..? and that improving the long nose would help, so I was very satisfied with the consultation. At other well-known places I consulted, the first one felt like they explained things too roughly, so I ruled it out. The second one said it would look prettier to put in an implant and talked about donated rib cartilage, so I ruled it out. The third one explained things very thoroughly and was a famous place, so I did trust them, but compared with the hospital I liked, I felt like they lacked detail..? in explaining what needed improvement. I said that at another hospital they told me they would fill the sunken area with autologous dermis, and asked if that seemed okay. They said they would be against it if the reason was to build height, but if it was just to fill it in, it seemed okay and they could do that. But that hospital didn’t really have reviews of autologous dermis, and they said the alar reduction would be an external incision, so in the end, I chose the hospital where I had the surgery. It’s only day 3, but I’m very satisfied with the result! Is the swelling what’s creating the sense of dimension..? I wonder if this will also get slightly lower once the swelling goes down. Anyway, when I take photos, my nose definitely has a bit more dimension, and my nostrils used to flare outward, but now they’ve been brought together, so they look smaller! As for the cartilage tying, I haven’t removed the taping on the nasal bridge yet... I told the director that I just didn’t want a line to form like it had been pinched, but I can’t check that part yet. Just looking at it now, it seems naturally improved. In real life, it is slimmer than it looks in photos! I’ll attach before-and-after photos. Please understand that my skin looks bad. I may take the photos down... haha
