First of all, the biggest thing I felt while going from 1 month to 3 months was... people with not much hair probably should not get this surgery....>>I’ll explain the reasons one by one below!
To write out my course: starting around when I was getting close to the 1-month mark, my eyebrows, the area around the surgery, and even the back of my head around the crown were all extremely itchy! At first, before the surgery, I was told that after surgery it can get itchy... that older patients tend to feel the itching more strongly after a forehead lift, and depending on the case they even get prescribed medicine..and I was told that since I’m still young (almost entering my 30s....) it probably wouldn’t be itchy enough to need medication. But after the surgery, I was already occupied with swelling and bruising and all that, and I didn’t have any itching, so I was thinking, ‘Ah~ I’m fine, huh?’ Then maybe a few days before my 1-month checkup? The crown area started itching? But this was a kind of itch that’s a little different from the itch we usually know..;; So I was flustered, but since the appointment was in a few days, I just scratched a bit and held out before going to the hospital..And up until then it wasn’t seriously itchy either..I was just like, oh~ is this a sign that new skin is finally coming in!! kekeke I was spinning my own happy fantasies;; Anyway, when I went to the hospital checkup and mentioned the hair loss that looked like a bald patch at the surgical site and the itching, they said it was normal, that itching starts now, that people usually feel itching up to the 3-month point and depending on the case it can continue for 6 months or even longer. They also said the back of the head itches because when they dissect the facial muscles, they also pull on and dissect the muscles toward the back of the head too?? (Ah, I don’t remember exactly what they said, but that was roughly the nuance) So yes, the back of the head itching was normal too.. Uh...and when they looked at the bald patch where the surgery had been, they said the more hair you have, the more hair falls out, and now that they looked closely they could see a little bit starting to come back up, so not to worry. As for the brow muscle still protruding on my forehead, they said I had the forehead lift surgery, but I still had the habit of opening my eyes by using my forehead, so the muscle was still showing, and until the 3-month checkup we should just watch the hair loss + itching + brow muscle without worrying, so me, the one who had completely let go of worry..☆ . . . But that was only the beginning... Starting from the day I came back after the 1-month checkup, my head itched like crazy, and even scratching it didn’t feel relieving; it was more like the inside of the skin was itchy? If I could, I’d want to rip off my whole scalp, that’s how itchy it was And the reason I said people with not much hair should think twice about this surgery is that my hair was falling out like crazy..;;; How much, you ask? After washing my hair, so much hair would gather in the drain that the water wouldn’t go down, and when I dried my hair, that much would fall out again, and just looking at the place where I’d been sitting, there’d be at least 3 strands lying there, and if I combed it with my hand, more than 5 strands would come out;;; Maybe because I saw the hair falling with my own eyes, the back of the head around the crown felt a little lighter than before? I don’t know, but in my own way I really felt how serious it was because my hair was falling out like crazy (Thanks to that, I’ve been diligently using shampoo for hair loss..sob) And the 5 incision sites inside the scalp after surgery You thought it would end at just the bald spots I mentioned in the 1-month review? Nope, even more hair fell out I can’t even do an all-back hairstyle..ugh! Also, when I look in the mirror and when people around me say it too, the little sprouts showing on my forehead (people around me call the prominent brow muscle that sprout) were not visible for a while right after surgery, but now they’re visible again..they’re asking if the surgery really worked..It tested me so much! On top of already being itchy..if I scratch because it itches, the hair falls out, so I’m in this mental struggle where I must not touch it..and in the middle of all that, I had to argue about whether the surgery failed or not..!! Anyway, after going through all that turmoil, I went to my 3-month follow-up... That introduction was too long, right? Sorry.. There just isn’t much talk about symptoms that are felt once some time has passed after this surgery, so I ended up writing it out in detail (awkward smile)
Anyway, I had my 3-month follow-up the day before yesterday, and I’ll keep the conversation form brief here! Manager: What kinds of discomfort have you had? Me: My head is so itchy all the way to the back of my head, the brow muscle above the space between my eyebrows is looking more and more prominent, and the hair at the 5 incision sites from the surgery has fallen out more so I can’t do an all-back hairstyle.. Manager: Yes, I’ll relay that to the doctor first^^ (A little later in the exam room) Doctor: It’s not just a simple matter of pulling the forehead muscles from the front and dissecting them; the back-of-head muscles are also all involved~~~ (omitted below) The itching across the whole back of the head is normal. From the 3-month mark onward, the itching should start to ease, so don’t worry. And because we worked on the back-of-head muscles, the scalp is in a period of being under a lot of stress overall. That’s why hair loss is happening throughout. But after 6 months (he said the cycle from a hair falling out to growing again is 6 months), it will all come back. As for the brow muscle (the forehead sprout), we didn’t completely cut it out and remove it; we cut it, so it is still there in place. But because you still have the old habit of opening your eyes with your forehead, it’s becoming more prominent, so I’ll give you Botox in the forehead. As for the hair loss at the incision sites.....oh..I can see follicles getting ready to grow back...I’ll give you a stem cell injection..wait a bit, get the stem cell injection at the surgical site, get Botox in the forehead, and then go home.. Me: Yes.. . . . That’s the situation, and in reality the itching in my hair strangely stopped about 2 weeks before my hospital appointment Whew..(throb) So once again I was left speechless... At the hospital they said it was a stem cell injection, meaning they drew my own blood and extracted stem cells from it separately, then injected them into the 5 incision sites! It was truly pain.. unbelievably painful.. and apparently my cell particles were extracted quite large or something.. They say larger particles are better, but the larger the particles, the more painful it is when they go into the scalp. After getting that and the forehead Botox, I didn’t feel anything at all.. Maybe that’s just because I was too dazed after experiencing such intense pain.. . . . Anyway, the key points of the 3-month review are: 1. After surgery, hair loss happens across the whole head. >> They say the cycle for a single hair strand to fall out and grow again is 6 months, so it should grow back after 6 months..but that’s only a prediction. When my incision-area hair fell out after surgery, they also said hair loss was normal and it would grow back quickly, but it hasn’t grown back, and looking at my situation where they hurriedly gave me some stem-cell-or-whatever injection and told me to come back in 2 months to check whether the hair is growing, not every prediction is perfectly accurate. So if you have thin hair or weak hair, please consider the points I mentioned one more time before deciding on this surgery! 2. The hairless gap at the incision sites after surgery is bigger than you’d expect, and the hair doesn’t grow fast. >> They drew blood, extracted my stem cells from it, and pushed them back into the scalp...you know how it is... They told me to come back in 2 months so they could check the hair growth, and honestly, just thinking about it already makes my head throb.. 3. One round of Botox won’t flatten the brow muscle. >> I learned at this visit that I need to get it once at this 3-month point, then again after watching it for 6 months, and repeat that process 3 to 4 times.....I thought the forehead would become flat if I just had surgery, but that wasn’t it!
Of course, I’m not saying this surgery is absolutely bad! Since having it, I’ve also heard a lot that my face looks softer and fresher!! I’m satisfied! But hair loss is a separate issue Even though I have a lot of hair and pretty healthy hair to begin with, this much still fell out.. so I wondered, what about other people? And before the surgery, I was never told that I might lose hair across my whole head... (I only found out after it fell out..that it was spring..) Anyway, I’ll attach photos of my partial hair loss.. If you’re curious, you can look at the photos!
Ah~~ and I almost forgot: they said double eyelid surgery is okay now that 3 months have passed~ But even if the swelling on the outside is gone, there can still be swelling on the inside, so they said it’s better to wait 6 months if possible before doing double eyelid surgery~ Also, since I had a forehead lift, they said double eyelid surgery with a non-incision method is enough even without ptosis correction or incision, and if you do it then (after 6 months), recovery will be much faster^^ Then that’s really it, 20,000!!!
Oh right! I forgot, but the doctor, the manager, and the assistant nurse were all kind, and the atmosphere was still good! There was no extra charge for the stem cell injection or Botox!!

Ah one last extra thing.. I get a lot of acne..? But after the forehead lift, why doesn’t my forehead feel like my forehead anymore... it feels a bit strange, and people who had surgery will know what I mean, right? Anyway, at the 1-month follow-up last time, the doctor said I could start acne extraction treatment now, so I was like ‘Oh? Yay!’ but just in case, I hadn’t actually done the extraction yet. Hm.. But after 2 months, my forehead sensation seemed to come back completely and the strange feeling was gone too? So I squeezed out a sebum plug on my forehead, and.............................zap! I nearly blacked out just from that... seriously, that stabbing electric pain ran from my forehead all the way to the back of my head, and I felt like if I touched it carelessly I’d be in big trouble, so I asked about it again at this visit, and the doctor said.... “Ah? You may get the extraction done^^ If you can endure the pain^^~ This is when the forehead nerves are at their most sensitive^^ If you can bear the pain, please get your acne treatment^^ haha!” ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅌㅋㅌㅋPeople like me who have a lot of acne and are considering a forehead lift.. please keep this in mind..
