Review after square jaw revision surgery at Contour Standard (long)

Hello It has been a month since I had square jaw revision surgery and liposuction at Contour Standard at the end of February, so I am leaving a review.

<Usual concerns> :After my first square jaw surgery, I did not feel as much change as I had expected,, I definitely had bone surgery, but every time I looked in the mirror, my impression still looked heavy, and especially the fat around the deep cheek area stood out, making my whole face feel like it looked bigger,,

The most uncomfortable part was that I kept thinking, 'Is this really my face after surgery?' I had hoped to change naturally, without it being obvious to people, but in the end, it felt like the complexes I had still remained. Also, for those with a square jaw under the chin, the constant concern of 'whether to tie my hair up or leave it down' continued. I also started wishing I could tuck my hair behind my ears rather than being busy hiding my face with my hair,, As those worries kept accumulating, I think my thoughts about revision surgery deepened.

<Reason for choosing the hospital> : Because it was revision surgery, I compared more hospitals more carefully, but I don’t think I could decide easily,, because I heard similar things everywhere, and most places started with, “We will make you pretty.” But what I wanted was a natural improvement within the flow of my own face, rather than a change that would stand out to anyone,,

Then I happened to learn about ‘Contour Standard.’ The director personally conducted a 1:1 consultation, and the tone of the consultation was different. When I brought only a few photos of celebrities with pretty face shapes, without a specific face shape I wanted, the director said, “If this is your current condition, I don’t really want to recommend surgery.” Honestly, I was flustered, but at the same time I think I gained trust! While most hospitals seemed to try to lead things to surgery somehow, this hospital seemed to have the philosophy that excessive surgery would actually increase dissatisfaction with the results,,! That consultation made me feel certain that, 'If it is this place, they won’t do anything unnecessary,' and I was able to gather courage once again.

<Consultation review> : I think I had consultations twice! Since I didn’t really know what face shape I wanted, I remember that the celebrity photos I brought changed each time,, The consultation was concise, but the key points were clear! They pointed out that the issue with my face was not simply due to the bone structure, but the remaining fat, especially the volume around the deep cheeks and jaw. The explanation that it would not be solved simply by shaving more bone was impressive.

What I liked most through the consultation was that it became clear 'why this surgery was necessary.' I didn’t like my face shape, but I was always wondering which part should be improved,, Since I had already had surgery, I think I also had a needless fear of 'Is there really no answer for my face shape?' Surgery is ultimately a decision that carries risks, and if the direction is not clear, it can end up as regret. I had already experienced that once,, But here, they clearly set that direction for me, and thanks to that, my anticipation became bigger than my fear!

<Changes after surgery> : Because it was revision surgery, the director also said the swelling could be worse than the first surgery! Naturally, right after surgery the swelling was severe and there was discomfort, but after 1-2 weeks, I think I started to clearly see the flow of my face gradually changing,,

After undergoing square jaw revision surgery, the balance of my face became much more natural, and as the deep cheek fat was organized, the line from under the cheekbones to the jawline became neatly refined. My face looked lighter, and I felt that my overall impression became much clearer! Especially, I felt a big change at a 45-degree angle rather than from the front,,!

What I liked most was that before, tying my hair up or tucking it behind my ears always felt awkward, but now I have confidence in my face shape and can try various styles. These days, people around me often say, “Your vibe looks more stable,” or “Why did you lose so much weight?”,, It is really fascinating that they notice the change even though I haven’t said anything! Actually, after surgery, I became able to open my mouth wide, so I ate all the foods I had wanted to eat, like hamburgers, and my weight actually increased,, lolㅠ,,,

<Recovery process> : I think the first week right after surgery was the hardest period. My face was quite swollen, and my food intake was restricted,,, Still, saying I was going for walks to reduce facial swelling, I did go outside haha,, Time went by so slowly, but after day 7-10, I think the swelling started to go down rapidly! Especially from week 2, the contour started to become visibly refined!! I think drinking plenty of water, applying cold compresses often, and diligently wearing the fixation band helped.

Now that a month has passed, the swelling has gone down a lot compared with the beginning! The director says that because it was revision surgery, there is still swelling left to go down, but I like my current face shape too, so I am looking forward to the final? face shape,, Of course, small changes are still continuing, but I am very satisfied with the overall result. I worried for such a long time before deciding to have surgery, but the result is so satisfying that even if I went back, I think I would definitely do it again,,,! These days, when I take photos, I often hear that my expression has changed, and I think maybe that is proof that I have come to like my own face~ Anyway, I hope my review will be a lot of help to people who have concerns similar to mine,,, bye-bye,,
