The reason I first thought about nose surgery? I just looked in the mirror and had a reality check From the front it looked spread out, and from the side there was a protruding hump Ha.. where on earth is the center? Actually, at first I went to the hospital thinking only about silicone But during the consultation, autologous costal cartilage suddenly came up They said they would take cartilage from my chest, so for a second I thought… that’s scary? But they said my nasal structure was narrow and my nasal septum was short, so there was no choice In the end, osteotomy was added too, and the combination became this → bulbous nose + hump nose + osteotomy + autologous costal cartilage Honestly, I was a bit intimidated when they said autologous costal cartilage But after actually getting it done, it was better than I expected Scar? None. Seriously. It doesn’t show at all, and the pain completely disappeared after a few days And the nose line… No words needed I used to be someone whose nasal tip spread out, and when I smiled, it went down to the nostrils Now, when you look at my side profile, it has a slightly straight-line feel and gives the impression that everything is firmly and neatly tied together This really makes me feel like the money was well spent Oh, and I’ll say just one thing that’s most important when getting surgery The doctor’s hands. Skill is really important If you go just because the price is cheap and they ruin your nose line, it costs several times more to restore it. Seriously Don’t just look for the cheapest place no matter what Don’t just trust one place; go to at least 3 places And to give one tip, there’s no need to be afraid of autologous costal cartilage It’s different from donated costal cartilage, which uses someone else’s tissue Using my own tissue made me less anxious, and the results are stable too (Of course, donated costal cartilage also has no chest scar and has advantages; that’s a personal choice) Swelling? I did both osteotomy + autologous costal cartilage, but except for the first day, it went down faster than I expected After about 2 weeks, I didn’t feel embarrassed going around without a mask After a month, photos were possible too I’ll say this lastly Doctor’s skill > hospital size > price, in that order Don’t judge for no reason by the number of followers on a hospital’s Instagram I hope you find a director who checks CT scans and explains even your facial balance in detail Everyone who may decide on surgery after seeing this review, if you want a nasal tip that is well-defined like mine and a slightly angular line, autologous costal cartilage is honestly better than expected That’s it, this was a review of my first-ever men’s nose surgery. Plastic surgery is not a sin. Being bad at it is.
