I had double eyelid surgery before (buried suture), but it was an inline crease on the left / in-out crease on the right. There were lots of reviews and it seemed popular these days, so I went to get a consultation first~ Consultation order: consultant - director - consultant They said it wasn’t an unpleasant-looking asymmetry, but still, since the previous surgery had gone wrong, it would be better to do revision surgery~ They said if there wasn’t much eyelid fat, incision wouldn’t necessarily be needed, but I do have some eyelid fat. Originally, I was going to match both eyes as in-out creases, but a slight out-line seemed pretty, and the director also clearly said that an out-line, rather than in-out, would make my eyes much more defined and suit my eye shape well. So they said it had to be done by incision, and because the lines were uneven and my eye-opening strength was lacking, I moved my eyebrows a lot, so I should do ptosis correction together. They didn’t separately recommend front or back canthoplasty~ They said it would be good to get Botox before surgery so my eyebrows wouldn’t move. Because they pointed everything out clearly, it felt trustworthy from a patient’s perspective.
So I made a reservation right away, and now it has been 32 days since surgery. A few days ago, I went for a follow-up. Everything is settling in without any issues. Even though it was revision surgery by incision, there was less swelling than I expected~ The bruising went away pretty quickly. After the stitches were removed, it went down fast~ I also walked for 30 minutes a day. If you’re considering revision surgery, I hope you don’t keep putting it off~.. (Surgery cost: incision revision surgery + ptosis correction, about 1.8 million KRW)
