Double-Jaw Surgery Reviews@jaw-review

It’s been 3 months since I overcame malocclusion at an oral and maxillofacial surgery clinic haha

Hello!! I had malocclusion since I was young, so chewing with my front teeth was always uncomfortable. I could barely chew only when I put force into my jaw, and since I hardly used my front teeth, I felt like my teeth were getting weaker too,, On top of that, after puberty, I started caring about my appearance, so I was also very stressed because of the shape of my jaw. When people jokingly talked about my jaw, I pretended to laugh, but inside my self-esteem was at rock bottom haha,, So in the end, I made up my mind and decided on surgery. It was scary, but I felt like if I didn’t do it now, I would regret it for the rest of my life. I looked through many reviews for hospitals and decided to go to an oral and maxillofacial surgery clinic that also looks at functional aspects, and among them, I chose the oral and maxillofacial surgery clinic that had many reviews and seemed trustworthy haha. The first day of surgery was, literally, really hard. I couldn’t breathe well, my throat was swollen, and pain came up intermittently, so I barely slept. Wow, it was the first time time had ever passed that slowly lol. From day 2, after removing the urinary catheter and nasal tube, breathing got a bit better, but instead, the swelling inside my mouth became much worse, to the point where I couldn’t even swallow saliva, and at least when I was discharged on day 3 and went outside for the first time, I felt like I could live a little. Still, practicing holding the wafer in my mouth was really difficult lol. Around days 4 to 5, I wondered if the swelling was going down a bit, but my jaw area kept feeling heavy. Especially at dawn, the pressure around my mouth was so severe that I slept poorly, and it was so hard that I even called the hospital and went for a dawn walk lol. Still, from daytime it got a little better, and looking in the mirror, I was like, oh, the swelling is going down??? and felt proud by myself lol!! From day 6, sleeping while sitting became hard, so my lower back and butt started hurting, but still, I endured a slight cold feeling and went out for walks, and slowly tried soft foods too. My condition was definitely much better than a few days before. On day 7, I met friends for the first time, and when they said there was much less swelling than they expected, I felt that all the endurance had been worth it. From week 3, the change in swelling decreased, but I felt that my impression had changed clearly. Around the 1-month mark, comparing before-and-after surgery photos, I really felt a definite change in how my lower face had become more refined!!! By month 2, almost all the swelling had gone down, so I gained confidence in my side profile, and it was amazing to see my occlusion being aligned through orthodontic treatment. By month 3, almost all discomfort had disappeared, and daily life, as well as my mental state, became much more comfortable, so I felt that escaping my jaw complex was the biggest advantage of this surgery!!! In conclusion, the first 2 weeks were hard, but now I can only think that I’m really glad I did it. For anyone like me who has concerns about the lower face, this is a surgery I really recommend, and among them, I would like to recommend that oral and maxillofacial surgery clinic and Director Kim Jong-yoon!
