It took two months to get a consultation. It’s hard to make a reservation. Even though I went at my reserved time, there was only one person there, but I think the total waiting time alone was 1 hour and 20 minutes. I’m looking into surgery because of eye asymmetry, one eye looking sleepy, and uneven epicanthoplasty. My line is thin enough that people ask if it’s an inner double eyelid, but they said it was thick and that they would lower it with a double-line revision technique. They said I had asymmetry, but everyone has this much asymmetry, and it couldn’t be fixed... My epicanthoplasty is uneven, but at first they said where is it uneven, as if they couldn’t recognize it.. so after looking at the photo I took, I asked if they couldn’t see that it was different there. Only then they said they couldn’t make it identical. They said the fat another hospital injected into my upper eyelids had been overfilled, asked if my eyes didn’t feel heavy, and said they would remove fat. Since I had waited so long, my expectations were high, and I had prepared several questions, but the eye problems that everyone around me had also mentioned were not identified here, like “where?” and when they talked about fat removal, I wondered what they were talking about. It was worse than expected, so I was shocked for a moment, my mind went blank and I couldn’t even ask everything. The 10,000 won consultation fee felt wasted. The consultation itself was not good, but the before-and-after photos in the hospital booklet were okay, so I’m still debating. *Edited to add They said the deposit could be fully canceled, so just in case, on the consultation day I first put down only the deposit, but I had never even thought that eye fat was the problem, and since they said they would remove eye fat, it seemed wrong, so I canceled. After time passed and I looked closely, I thought the director might be right, so I touched it and felt lumps. So I was just going to have the surgery and asked the consultant by message about fat removal, but the consultant said fat removal couldn’t be done. When I said the director had said they would do it, they said the director didn’t definitely say they would, that fat wasn’t the main cause, but because I first said it felt heavy due to fat, they had mentioned that method, and so on.. they kept saying things that weren’t what I had said. I never said first that it felt heavy because of fat, and even when I explained that the director brought it up first, they kept making me repeat myself.. The conversation was so frustratingly impossible. The director said it was a fat problem and that if fat was removed and ptosis correction was done, opening my eyes would be much easier and better than now. But the consultant said fat removal isn’t the main thing, it may not be done, and even if I have surgery, opening my eyes could still feel heavy and not comfortable. They also said things I didn’t ask, like the double-line revision could fold into two lines, and said if fat removal was my focus, I shouldn’t do it here. They brought up fat as the cause first, so I asked about it, but I don’t know what they’re talking about. It made me wonder if I should record consultations. What I was told in the consultation with the director and what the consultant says when I ask are completely different, as if that would never happen. Between a person who canceled the reservation because fat bothered them after a hospital consultation, and a person who consults several people a day, only looks at the chart, and speaks a month and a half later, whose memory would be more accurate? I can’t be connected to the director either, and if I want to ask, I have to make another appointment, but that’s three months later.
