It took two months to get a consultation. It’s hard to make a reservation. Even though I went at my reserved time, there was only one person there, but I think the total waiting time alone was 1 hour and 20 minutes.
My line is thin enough that people ask if it’s an inner double eyelid, but they said it was thick and that they would lower it with a double-line revision technique. I’ve lived thinking it was an inline crease, and the previous hospital also said it was inline, but after looking at my eyes, the consultant said it was in-out. The consultant only asked about the eye surgery I had before surgery, and didn’t show photos of people who changed from the same problem or point out my eye problems first.
In some review, it said the consultant also felt professional and examined the eye condition well, so after reading that review I had some expectations, but I guess it depends on the consultant. The director also said that because surgery at another hospital had been done wrong, there was asymmetry, but everyone has this much asymmetry, and it couldn’t be fixed... My epicanthoplasty is uneven, but at first they said where is it uneven, as if they couldn’t recognize it.. so after looking at the photo I took, I asked if they couldn’t see that it was different there. Only then they said they couldn’t make it identical.
Since I had waited so long, my expectations were high, and I had prepared several questions, but the eye problems that everyone around me had also mentioned were not identified here, like “where?” so I doubted the professionalism of the consultation. It was worse than expected, so I was shocked for a moment, my mind went blank and I couldn’t even ask everything. The 10,000 won consultation fee felt wasted. They weren’t unfriendly, but I didn’t feel they were friendly either... I went after reading reviews, so why did I get a completely different feeling? Does their attitude differ by person..
The consultation itself was not good, but the before-and-after photos in the hospital booklet were okay, so I’m still debating.
