As of today, it's day 8 since I had surgery for my hump nose. My hump nose was quite severe, and I went through a lot after the surgery On day 5 after surgery, they removed the splint and checked, but the nasal bridge was full of blood, so the doctor kept repeating that the silicone was not that important and recommended just removing it. (They said that because there was a lot of blood collected, in my case the chance of it filling up again was high.) They persuaded me that if I removed it, all the trouble would go away, but I said I was okay and that even if I had to keep the splint on longer, I wanted to keep the silicone. As a result, today on day 8, blood is no longer collecting, and thanks to steadily draining the fluid and keeping the splint attached, they said they'll remove the taping tomorrow and finish it up. For those who develop a hematoma after putting silicone in for a hump nose, if the doctor recommends removing the silicone, I think being stubborn once may not be a bad idea
