I had my 4th nose revision surgery, and somehow I have a good feeling about it!!
I’m going to get the stitches removed in 4 days, and I’m so excited!
For my nose surgeries,
1st time (Daejeon ㄱㄴㅂ, currently Seoul ㅋㅇㅇㅌ), I had the hump bone shaved and used Gore-Tex and ear cartilage, but my nose looked too long.
2nd time (Seoul ㅌㅇ), I had the hump bone refined a bit more, the implant removed, and the columella tied. They said when tying it, they usually tie it up quite a lot because some people’s nasal tips droop when they smile...
3rd time (Seoul ㅌㅇ), they slightly loosened the columella tie through a closed approach, so the nasal tip was lowered a bit.
Even so, my nose still looked too upturned,
so for the 4th time (Seoul ㅅㅇ), I had surgery to improve how the nasal tip looked upturned and to shave the nasal bridge bone to narrow the width a bit more.
The doctor consulted with me in more detail than the two other hospitals where I had surgery before. I have a crooked nose, and without thinking about that, I just wanted my nose to become shorter and smaller, but the doctor said he would take care of it and correct the crooked nose as much as possible. (At the Seoul ㅌㅇ hospital, they said they couldn’t correct the crooked noseㅡㅡ) During the consultation, he also touched and examined my nose in detail, good!
So my evaluation is:
First time (Daejeon ㄱㄴㅁ, currently Seoul ㅋㅇㅇㅌ), I just did it without knowing much, through an introduction from my mom’s acquaintance, but it was seriously only expensive and they weren’t good at surgery. I had eye surgery here too, but it went wrong, so I had revision eye surgery too. Even when I asked, “Why is my nasal tip like this?” and “Why is the end of my eye like this?” they only gave obvious answers like, “That’s just how it is,” and “It’s because your eye shapes are different.” So annoying. The second and third times (Seoul ㅌㅇ), I went because it was famous, but as expected, I don’t think big hospitals are the place to go. I spent more time consulting with the consultant than with the doctor. For the fourth time, my double eyelid and lateral canthoplasty had gone really wrong, so I searched and searched online for a place famous for lateral canthoplasty reconstruction. The before-and-after photos on the website were so good that I went for a consultation, and as expected, a confident hospital feels different. First, I had lateral canthoplasty reconstruction and double-eyelid-release surgery, and it went really well. There were more male patients than female patients coming here, so doesn’t that mean they do things naturally?! So I also had consultation and surgery for my third revision nose surgery.
