The swelling has gone down a lot compared to the second day, when it was at its peak, but it’s still there. The swelling at the nasal tip and nasal bridge is no joke. The nostril wings have gone down a little though. I don’t know if my swelling and bruising just fade slowly.. More than half of my nose is covered in dark red bruising and blue bruising. I’ll gather photos and post them later. For compresses, I was doing warm compresses, but because of the bruising, I’ve been applying bruise-reducing ointment and alternating that with compresses. The area between my eyebrows is all bruised, so my face looks blotchy haha Once the swelling goes down, I feel like it’ll suddenly become much lower and contracture will come, but maybe because it hasn’t been long yet, I don’t feel any tight pulling at all. It just throbs when I touch it and throbs when I smile.
I had Gore-Tex + ear cartilage completely removed, but my nasal tip is raised like half a mushroom. Even after ear cartilage is removed, does the nasal tip usually stay lifted like when the nose was done? I can feel something round in the area where the ear cartilage used to be at the nasal tip, so I feel like some ear cartilage is still left. I originally had an upturned nose and an extremely low nose, but the nasal tip looks like before removal.. Did other people also feel something hard at the nasal tip for a while after ear cartilage removal, like a round piece of cartilage? This is what I’m worried about.
After removal, I saw the implant, but I didn’t see the removed ear cartilage. It had raised my bridge by 5 mm, but it was smaller than I expected. I feel relieved that the nasal bridge implant is out. I’m still worried about the nasal tip.
