Hello I had surgery with silicone 3.5 mm, ear cartilage for the nasal tip, bilateral osteotomies, and hump rasping, but I suffered from inflammation early on and thought my nasal bridge looked crooked, so I had it removed 6 months after surgery. I removed it last year, and before I knew it, 10 months have passed. Now, 10 months later, I’m living completely satisfied with my nose. Because I didn’t remove the nasal tip cartilage, there was no contraction phase or anything like that, so the nose shape is okay too. Of course, it would be a lie to say the nasal tip cartilage doesn’t bother me, but still, maybe because the silicone is gone, it’s true that I feel at ease. I thought my already low nose would look even lower because I had the hump rasped, but maybe because the osteotomies brought it together, it was similar. If you are simply removing only silicone, it will return to your original nose, but in cases like mine, where you had hump rasping and osteotomies, it’s hard to return to the original shape. Still, I think it’s about 70% similar. My original nose wasn’t broad, so the osteotomies weren’t extensive, and since I had been told my nose was crooked, I live without feeling a big difference. My friends noticed right away when I had surgery, but they didn’t recognize that I had it removed. They said they just thought the swelling had all gone down and it had become natural lol. Even when I had surgery, they said they couldn’t tell except that the nasal bridge was higher. That’s how little other people pay close attention to my appearance or stare only at my nose, so please don’t be too afraid!
Honestly, I don’t really recommend the hospital where I had my surgery because the doctor wasn’t great......I had the removal done for free at the same hospital.
I went through such a hard time through both surgeries, the cosmetic surgery and the removal, that I even developed panic disorder. There were times when rhinitis developed from the surgery and breathing was difficult too. I never want to have surgery again, and I remember how hard it was because I developed rhinitisㅠㅠ Now my rhinitis is fixed too, and I’m doing well~ Still, time solved it. Honestly, when you first remove it, you may feel relieved, but there is swelling, and anxiety about seeing another changed appearance.. all of that becomes stress. At first, I could see the columellar scar too, and it was really hard....but as time passed, it got better.
