Honestly, at first I didn’t plan on getting double eyelid surgery. I had been thinking I should get square jaw surgery, but my family stopped me, and the only thing they allowed was double eyelid surgery, so I did it. Now I think I made a good choice.
I did it at a place in the provinces that was supposedly somewhat famous, and I just went because my mom said someone she knew had a son who was a doctor there. Anyway, that doctor said a thin line would suit me, and that I should also do ptosis correction and medial epicanthoplasty, so I just said okay to everything and left it to the doctor. So I had partial incision double eyelid surgery, medial epicanthoplasty, and ptosis correction. I used double eyelid glue for about a month? before, and even now after surgery, one eye droops, so it’s still a bit uneven, but everyone except me doesn’t notice. And I just think of it as charm and leave it at that. lol
Later when I went to school, I found out there was a different doctor at that hospital who was famous for double eyelid surgery lol... The swelling really keeps going down. At 6 months I thought, ah, the swelling must be done now, but it was different again after a year had passed. An older coworker at my part-time job said she got a scar from medial epicanthoplasty and told me to be careful about medial epicanthoplasty scars, so I really tried not to touch it while sleeping, and I didn’t get a scar. I couldn’t exercise.. I don’t think I went outside the house much either lol. They say you should eat things that aren’t too salty, but after surgery I was so hungry that I ordered pizza, and I think I actually gained more weight then.
My friends say I’m the only case from that hospital that turned out amazingly well. Thinking about it now, I think it’s because I did what the doctor recommended. Anyway, this is my first time writing a review, so I don’t really know what I’m saying, but I hope everyone’s surgery goes well!
