I just had it removed at another hospital, and absurdly, I thought there was only a septal support, but they said Medpor was embedded deep inside. The adhesions were no joke, so it took a really long time to pull it out,.. They had repositioned things and cut a lot of the alar cartilage too, so the empty area was filled with ear cartilage (not placed in the nasal tip; all the support was removed, and the empty area where the alar cartilage had been cut during the first surgery was restored by taking ear cartilage and tying it with sutures). The clinic where I had it done has a good reputation and good reviews on Babitalk, but I can’t believe they really put in Medpor;; When I asked if they had cut the alar cartilage, the doctor said, “Alar cartilage normally isn’t cut~~ I cut just a little,” but the doctor who removed it said it had been completely cut.. If the alar cartilage is cut, the nostril shape becomes pointy and upturned;;; Anyway, I just had it removed and when I look in the mirror now it’s really upturned, so I’m a bit sad, but I believe it will come down with time.. When I had the silicone removed too, it came down within a month....
