Time really flies~~ I received a lot of help from this community during that time, so I’m leaving a review for those who are planning to have removal done. My case included 3 mm silicone, a septal support strut, septal cartilage grafting, suturing, osteotomy, and even hump reduction. I went through a lot emotionally because the silicone shifted to one side, the cartilage shifted, the cartilage was visible, my nostrils looked pinched, and the nasal tip looked unnatural, so I had them removed this time. The silicone was removed, and for the nasal tip, the septal cartilage was reused to help open up the pinched nostril area. I also heard that it was fixed only with sutures. My columella felt too fixed and hard, so I asked if a columellar strut had perhaps been used, and thankfully they said it had not. Because of the pinching around my nostrils, I did not do complete removal. I lowered and revised the nasal tip to match the height after removing the silicone. It was because I thought it would be even harder if I did complete removal and the shape became difficult to predict. From about day 10, I think the contraction phase started, and until past 3 weeks, my nasal tip looked slightly lifted. My nose also had a tingling and pulling feeling. Once it had been a little over 3 weeks, that feeling was gone, and the nasal tip no longer looked lifted. Now at one month, the nasal bridge is almost similar to my old nasal bridge. My overall image has also gone back to how it used to be. There is still swelling in the nasal tip. It’s hard. I think it needs to soften and loosen up more. I originally had asymmetrical nostrils, and after surgery they looked more noticeable. Even after removal, the nostril asymmetry is still there. Since it was there originally, it doesn’t bother me much. My current mental state is comfortable. No one notices unless I tell them. I really hated my operated nose, so I’m satisfied now. It has become similar to before too. From now on, time will be the medicine. Before, I looked in the mirror dozens of times, but these days I don’t look much. I really kept looking in the mirror until past 3 weeks, but after one month, I’ve adjusted and it doesn’t bother me much haha In the photo, the top is my operated nose, and the bottom is my nose one month after removal~ It’s not a camera selfie.
