Even before surgery, I didn’t have any major dissatisfaction with my eyes, but while living my life, I would occasionally hear comments that my eyes looked like I was glaring or that my gaze looked somehow displeased. Of course, I didn’t show it each time, but as those comments gradually piled up, I eventually reached a point where I became bothered by it myself and hated hearing it, so I started looking into double eyelid surgery. For choosing a hospital, I narrowed it down to a few places in advance and went for consultations first. As a result, I thought it would be better to get it done at a place personally run by the director rather than at a large hospital. Of course it was more expensive, but I thought there was no choice because my face is more valuable. I also thought they might pay that much more attention to creating the double eyelids. Personally, during the consultation, I liked that the director listened to my concerns and spoke firmly, with conviction, saying that this approach would be good. That confidence transferred to me too and made me feel that it would clearly go well. So I decided to have the surgery at Gonggan Plastic Surgery. I had heard that they would put me to sleep only when administering local anesthesia around the eyes, then there would be a process of blinking my eyes, and afterward I would be put to sleep again. But after they inserted the IV in my arm and I fell asleep, when I woke up it was already over. They said there are sometimes people like me who don’t remember well. I don’t think you need to worry about pain or fear from the surgery. However, after the surgery, perhaps because of the eye ointment, light spread out like astigmatism and I couldn’t see well in front of me, so I had difficulty taking public transportation home alone. After a few days, it quickly got better, but at first it was quite flustering. After that, once it had been a month, the swelling continued to go down and I kept liking it more. Right after surgery, I worried, “Isn’t the line too high?” but I can feel it coming down soon. I’m already satisfied because it seems to have turned out as I mentioned during the consultation, but I’m looking forward even more to how it will look as the swelling goes down. My overall satisfaction with the surgery was good. Choosing several hospitals to go to for consultations was the most bothersome and difficult part. After that, I think it’s a surgery you can feel satisfied with without much difficulty. The consultation with the kind consultation manager was also satisfactory.
