Today is day 25 since I had the silicone and ear cartilage removed. The swelling was seriously enormous, so it was hard... After about 2 weeks, the major swelling had all gone down, and now I think there is some residual swelling next to the nasal bridge and swelling left at the nasal tip. I also had bruising on the nasal tip, and a little still remains. Also, there are still areas where sensation hasn’t returned, so even if I scratch because it itches, it doesn’t feel relieved.. and the feeling is strange too, so it’s really frustrating..ㅜ As for the shape of my nose.. I tried to use photos with angles as similar as possible, but in the before-removal photo, I seem to be tilting my head up a little, so I think it looks more upturned. In real life, I don’t think there’s a big difference in the lifted angle before and after removal. But maybe because the cartilage that had been at the nasal tip is gone and the cartilage tying was released, from the side, the nasal tip looks a bit pressed down, as if someone is pressing on it..ㅜ The front view hurts my heart a littleㅠ At first I didn’t notice that the height had lowered, but now I definitely feel it, and my once slim nose has become wider.. I don’t know whether it was shaved down or what, but my original nose was so low anyway.. It just feels like it was originally like this, though I don’t remember well; When I saw the silicone that was removed, it was a bit wide horizontally.. Maybe it was because they inserted it to match the width of my original nasal bridgeㅠ It’s definitely true that it became wider, flatter, and more spread out, but if I contour well, I think other people probably won’t notice. A friend I met also told me that, so I’m taking at least some comfort from it. My nasal tip is itchy now. Rather than a pulling feeling, it feels like my nose is kind of stiff? And I had it removed through a closed approach, but I also have that hard flesh on one side of my nostril.. I already have rhinitis, so it feels a bit stuffyㅠ I hope time passes quickly and the day comes when I can completely forget about my noseㅠㅠ Still, at least these days I can eat well and sleep well..;ㅎㅎ
