I had osteotomy to bring the nasal bones in a little, 3 mm Gore-Tex on the nasal bridge, septal cartilage used to build the columella, and maybe two pieces of cartilage? placed on the nasal tip, and I had everything removed after 1 year. The shape was okay, but the foreign-body sensation was severe and uncomfortable, and for me it also got in the way a lot when exercising. So I really lol thought about it a lot and had it removed. Now it’s day 8, and yesterday, after 1 week, I had the splint removed haha When I originally decided on removal, I did it with the mindset that whatever I looked like, it wouldn’t be as good as before, but I’d accept it and live with it. The bruising under my eyes has almost gone away, but my nose has become a swollen, bulbous nose lol And yet here I am laughing ㅡ.ㅡ lol For now, since the part I kept agonizing over, whether to do it or not, is gone psychologically, I feel more at ease ^^ Even before I did the surgery, people around me did tell me my nose was still okay, but it was greed. It should have been a last resort, but I thought of it as the best choice and did it too easily, so I regret it. If there is anyone who hasn’t done it yet, please think very carefully.
Anyway! Now I’m going to focus on care, and I see a lot of people doing warm compresses and massage and things like that? For warm compresses, do you just do them around the nose, or do you place it on top of the nose? Please give me some tips. As for massage, I really have no idea ㅠ Please help this bulbous-nosed person, everyone lol Please give me tips haha
And right now I don’t think I’m even in the contraction phase yet. It just feels stiff and hard. What is going to happen to me going forward?? `ㅡ` Can this bulbous nose get better?
