It’s been a few years since my surgery. I had alar reduction surgery excluding correction of nasal wing curvature, and overall I’m fairly satisfied, but for those who are considering it, I hope you’ll think carefully. It wasn’t just that my alae were big, but they were spread outward like wings, so my nose shape felt unrefined, and surgery improved that part. However, after the surgery, my nose is not the kind of nose anyone would call pretty. If you later consider tip surgery because you don’t like the nose shape after alar reduction, the smaller nostrils and the scar from alar reduction create a lot of limitations. Since this hospital is known for alar reduction, I think they’ll recommend it a lot if you go for a consultation, but I hope you decide very carefully and cautiously.
