3-month review of posterior-lower canthoplasty + added lower canthoplasty point! I had posterior-lower canthoplasty around late January! *The surgery was done under full sedation, so when you sleep and wake up, it’s over *The surgery takes about 1 hour, and the pain is just a slight throbbing on the day of surgery. *Until day 7, when the posterior canthoplasty stitches are removed, conjunctival edema is severe, so it’s very uncomfortable… It feels like the white of the eye is flowing down… After the stitches are removed, if you sleep for one day and wake up, the conjunctival edema resolves, so don’t worry too much. They say it’s best not to look at your phone much, use eye drops, and keep your eyes closed, but I was on my phone all day lol *My eyes are sunken eyes + the outer corners are lifted a lot, so at other hospitals, some tried to dissuade me from posterior-lower canthoplasty, saying the effect wouldn’t be dramatic, but at Chai they confidently said it was possible, so I went ahead 1. Director’s style The style is like, “I’ll do everything the way you want~” If I bring in the eyes I want, I think the director will adjust it accordingly. It seems like under-eye fat repositioning is recommended to almost everyone getting posterior-lower canthoplasty… so choose for yourself… I didn’t do it 2. About posterior canthoplasty surgery It’s done with periosteal fixation, and if you ask them to open it enough for the conjunctiva (red tissue) to show, they’ll do it to that extent; if you want it natural, they’ll do it naturally. I opened it to the point where the conjunctiva is slightly visible, and so far there is no ㄷ-shaped deformity, and it’s maintaining a sharp < shape. The posterior canthoplasty hasn’t gone back. It’s maintaining the initial shape (3 months) 3. About lower canthoplasty surgery Lower canthoplasty is also done with periosteal fixation. This seems like a hospital that focuses on lower canthoplasty, and I also wanted to lower it excessively, but because of the director’s dissuasion;; I was satisfied with opening it to a straight - lower line rather than a wave~ shaped lower line. It does come up compared with the early postoperative period, but the lower canthoplasty is still maintained up to 3 months… If I want to lower it excessively later, I’m even considering revision surgery at Chai. 4. Do I recommend it? I recommend it. Among hospitals that do posterior-lower canthoplasty with thread fixation, the effect is relatively big, and compared with a certain hospital (ㄱ0) where the scarring remains bizarrely severe, I recommend Chai because it at least preserves the eye structure better.
