I had surgery this February, so it hasn't even been a year yet. Double eyelid surgery is really common now and it's even called a procedure, but my eyes were such a complex for me that I researched very carefully.
Before surgery, my eyes had a lot of fat in the eyelids and were thick, but I had been using eyelid tape every single day for 6 years without a break, so I thought the skin had stretched a lot. But I'll skip that part. Because I thought my eyes were difficult, I had a lot of trouble choosing a hospital. I visited 3 places for consultations.
It turned out my skin? my flesh? was thick, so even though I had been using eyelid tape like that, there wasn't much stretching. And my eyes weren't as difficult to operate on as I thought, so I paid 200 for partial incision and eye shape correction.
I chose a hospital that I could trust because it only recommended what was really necessary, instead of suggesting other things besides the eyes.
The shape settled into something similar to what my eyes looked like when I used eyelid tape before, so acquaintances I hadn't seen in a while didn't notice. Right now the swelling is all gone and I'm doing well. For now, not having to put on eyelid tape in the morning is really nice... I couldn't go out without eyelid tape.. It's a little uneven, but other people don't notice it and it's only annoying when I look in the mirror? So I'm just going to live with it I'm pretty satisfied
