Nose Re-Surgery

Silicone Removal

I’ve been going around for consultations. First hospital: remove it and put in dermis. Second hospital: remove it and your impression will change a lot... get filler. Third hospital: you must not remove it... your nose will collapse. Fourth hospital: remove it, then depending on the situation, do revision surgery or something. Last hospital: if you remove it, it will become lower than your original nose. Because the silicone has absorbed the bone...

My head is all over the place.. Right now the inside of my nose feels uncomfortable, my nostrils are deformed, and it feels like the silicone is gradually coming down, so I think I do need to remove it.

What I’m most worried about is: 1. Since the surgery was done 10 years ago, will it become much lower than before? There is also a capsule, and someone said they had surgery in their early 20s and removed it in their late 20s, and it actually became a bit higher.. 2. My biggest concern is that if the silicone is removed after touching the nasal septum, I’m worried the boundary area of the nose might sink in.

3.5 mm septal nasal tip surgery in 2005 It feels like I’ll never have my own nose for life, and as I get older my nose keeps gradually deforming. After surgery I had severe skin trouble, and it’s only now getting a little better, but I’ve continuously had symptoms similar to migraines. Ah.. and it’s not yellow nasal crust, but something like white nasal crusts (like lumps of silicone) have been coming out since about 5 years after surgery. What could this be? (My mom jokingly says maybe it’s all coming out before I remove the silicone)

If anyone removed silicone after a long time, or has had silicone removal, please leave a comment... It’s been so long that I’m so worried my nose might sink in after removing the silicone....
