I posted before surgery, and I was grateful that so many people encouraged me. I'm in my late 30s, I have rhinitis and panic disorder, but after much consideration, I had three types of facial contouring and revision rhinoplasty together.
More than anything, the aftereffects from general anesthesia (nausea), sore throat, coughing, and phlegm were the hardest. Since I had my nose done too, breathing was truly, truly agonizing.
Because I was so afraid about breathing from the start, the director said they would remove the nasal packing the next day, so after it was removed, it got a little more comfortable, but since it was tightly blocked anyway, breathing was still hard. They say even people who only had facial contouring get a lot of nasal congestion.
After that, even after being discharged, I caught a cold on top of everything, had a fever, coughed like I was dying, had a runny nose, nasal congestion, and sore throat, and for five days I could barely sleep more than ten minutes at a time. That full week was really so hard.. My husband was on a long-term business trip and abroad, so my mom took care of all the nursing, and I barely got through it. People who overcome this alone are amazing
I had almost no pain in the surgical areas, but I had a severe sizzling feeling? foreign-body sensation? around my jaw. I still have a bit of it. If it weren't for the cold, I would have walked diligently, but the ENT doctor told me absolutely not to be exposed to cold wind and not to go outside And I was so exhausted and had no strength that I couldn't even walk.
After surgery, when doing cold compresses, make sure to put something like a sweater over your hospital gown and wrap your neck with a scarf too. In my case, I caught a cold because I was cold on the day of surgery, the day I was admitted.
Now it's been about 3 weeks and 3 days. My cheekbones don't feel dramatically sunken in, and because my jaw had been so long, I'm completely satisfied with the length now. Of course I still have swelling like I'm holding candy in my cheeks, but my mom says I'm pretty and look so much younger. Like a baby doting mom;; My husband is five years younger than me, but originally I looked younger than him (strangely, I was a baby-faced woman with a big face, funny, right..). When I sent him photos, he said now I look like I'm a full zodiac cycle younger than him;;; He said I had wanted it so badly, so did I finally get my wish

Oh, the downsides are that as the lower face became shorter, the philtrum looks longer (since I also had nose surgery, the nasal tip swelling means the tip hasn't come down fully yet, so the philtrum looks even longer), and neck wrinkles that weren't visible because my jaw was long are now visible.. Just how long was my jaw...
The hospital recommends eating only a liquid diet until two months. Especially because of the cheekbones, they said absolutely not to chew anything hard. They said to avoid eating things that require chewing if possible. Also, some hospitals have you wear the compression band for a week.. but here they tell you to wear it for a month. I'm writing this while wearing the compression band even now.
After cheekbone or facial contouring surgery, people seem to eat regular food after a week or two, but I'm trying hard to stick to a liquid diet. My mother makes steamed eggs, pollock stew with radish cooked very soft, soft tofu, smoothies, and different types of porridge every day. Since I'm older, I'm trying to follow everything that's said to be good for recovery. I also ordered a radiofrequency device.
Everyone, prepare well before surgery, and be sure to take into account that recovery will be hard too. It really is major surgery. Still, I'm so grateful and happy that the day came when I could write this review without any major problems I'm going to live even more diligently!^^
