My first nose surgery was in 2005.. It deviated to the right.. so after 5 months, I had another revision surgery.. They set it low, but it deviated to the right again.. Only I knew, and to an ordinary person it was not noticeable. So I just lived with it like that, and then in 2013.. I had a complex about my nose, so I looked into hospitals here and there again.. Honestly, I didn't know my nose was such a difficult nose.. It wasn't a hump nose.. not a bulbous nose or an upturned nose either.. It was just a small nose.. So I went around Gangnam here and there, choosing places that were all fairly famous in their own way.. but I chose the relatively cheaper one.. Until then, I didn't have much knowledge about rhinoplasty, so even though it was in Gangnam and not very well known, there were still several doctors and an anesthesiology director was also stationed there.. so I ended up having my 3rd surgery.. From here, really.. the saying “you get what you pay for” came to mind.. Silicone 3.5 mm. Osteotomy (to prevent deviation). Very slight columellar advancement, nasal tip ear cartilage.. shaved down a very slight hump.. This cost 2.7 million won, and it was the cheapest among the hospitals where I had consultations.. so I went ahead with it happily..ㅋ Most other hospitals said they would use the nasal septum inside the nose and do an open approach, but this director said he would use ear cartilage and do a closed approach. So I asked.. other hospitals said to use septal cartilage, so why are you using ear cartilage, doctor?.. and he said ear cartilage would be enough for me.. I had the surgery without thinking much.. but in the end, this time it deviated to the left again..ㅠ I saw in a community that if you fail once after surgery with that doctor, there is a jinx that you fail again.. so this time, after just 2 weeks, I entrusted it to the chief director.. When they put you to sleep and operate, you can't know who is doing the surgery.. But 98% by my feeling, I could tell the same director had operatedㅋㅋ It felt awful.. I should have done it without sedationㅋㅋ In the past I did it without sedation and just had it done.. Anyway, the 4th surgery corrected the deviation to some extent.. but this time it was too high, showed through, and became red.. It was obviousㅋㅋ About this.. the director said it was because I had insisted on raising it.. He said he would do a revision, so wait 6 months.. Feeling frustrated, I looked in a community, and there were many hospitals that forcibly insisted, even when a crooked silicone implant was visible to the eye, to wait until the swelling went down.. so at least in my case, they were relatively decent..ㅋ Up to here, well.. I know that even if I file a lawsuit, I absolutely can't win.. I won't get a refund at all. Thinking I had just had bad luck, I have really endured until now with encouragement from my family and acquaintances. From stress, I lost 12 kg in 10 months.. seborrheic dermatitis of the scalp too.. I can't even describe it.. My family joked that my nose failed, but my diet succeeded.. and asked if I should be paying that hospital insteadㅡㅡ Now that 10 months have passed.. others say that although it is noticeable and shows through, it does not look strange, so just live with it.. The silicone implant that stands out every time I take photos.. nostril asymmetry.. I was stressed every time I looked in the mirror. So, to have a 5th surgery, I really went everywhere worth going in Apgujeong-dong.. Cheongdam-dong.. Gangnam.. I hated the previous hospital even if they said they would do it for free.. I was thinking of paying again, no matter how much money it took.. While getting consultations and listening to several directors, I found the fundamental problem with my nose.. One side of my facial axis is higher, so it keeps collapsing toward the opposite side.. They said there is no way except lowering it.. cosmetically.. it will be less pretty than now.. and scraping out scar tissue in the nostril also has limits and symmetry cannot be achieved.. They told me to gain one thing and give up several things. That I can't have both... Then another new fact.. while taking a 3D CT.. the L-shaped implant I had only heard about was inside.. It was a shock.. Do they still use L-shaped implants these days.. I was angry, so I called the hospital where I had surgery.. They said they are not using L-shaped implants. Rather, the staff there.. the counselors seemed surprised. I said I confirmed it after taking a 3D scan, so why do you keep saying that? They said they would check and call me, but there was no call that day.. The next day I called and asked why they said they would call but didn't, and they said they had called several times but I didn't answer.. Ah, this part is this hospital's specialty.. There were a couple more times like that.. When I asked the director, he said the L-shaped silicone is inserted about halfway.. the rest is ear cartilage, and it does not go all the way to the end.. Is this a joke? If they were going to use only half of an L-shaped silicone implant, why use an L-shape instead of a straight implant? Anyway, I made an appointment with the hospital and went in to hear what kind of explanation they would give.. I asked why there was an L-shape in my nose.. They said that even if it is L-shaped, it is not the old-style L-shape.. When I asked how they could use an L-shape without asking the patient, he said he sometimes uses it together when using ear cartilage.. On CT, the L-shape came down to where the columella is.. so I asked him to explain that.. He said he shaved it thinly.. and the reason he brought it down that far was because my nose kept deviating, so he did it to hold it in place.. Really, that hospital. I had surgery there twice, but waiting two hours past the reserved time was basic.. and during nose surgery, I think it took 5 or 6 hours.. I am so upset.. Until now, even when I was really angry, I stayed quiet.. but even until the end.. they have no basics.. Will it be okay to keep leaving this nose as it is? I am worried to death.
