I heard a lot that you need to shop around for consultations... But I couldn’t go back and forth to faraway places, so I chose somewhere nearby and had it done..
I had buried-suture double eyelid surgery.. The line seems a bit high.. that scares me the most.. Everyone advised against lateral canthoplasty and lower canthoplasty, and there are many side effects, so I was conflicted, but my two eyes are not symmetrical at all. The positions of my eyeballs and eye sockets themselves are uneven, so I had to give up on symmetry. The asymmetry is one thing, but the outer corners of my eyes were so different that I got stressed every time I drew eyeliner, so I thought I really wanted to fix them.. Since the outer corners of my eyes were what I most wanted to fix, I did lateral canthoplasty + lower canthoplasty.. I really thought of it as an adventure.. From the day before surgery I was scared and depressed, and even when I was lying on the operating table I felt sad, like someone going off to die..
Seeing the surgery result, I like that the outer corners of my eyes look more refined.. But the double eyelid line...ㅠㅠㅠ I don’t know if it will become natural-looking... Younger people don’t seem to bruise much even after doing it lol It doesn’t show in the photo... Maybe because I’m older, my eyes became badly swollen and bruised.. It’s bluish all the way underneath too I was scared because I heard lateral canthoplasty can cause eyeball swelling and things like that, but I’m very relieved that I have none of that at all. For the lower canthoplasty, it seems like the surgery was done by removing a little bit of lower tissue and tying it..
