I had protruding teeth, so I had extractions and did orthodontics for 2 and a half years, and now it's been 1 year. My appearance has changed a lot. There are many good points, but after orthodontics I lost a lot of facial fat, so my cheekbones stand out more and my face, especially the philtrum, has gotten much longer. The upper lip becomes thinner.. And if your teeth are weak, the roots can also become shorter. Anyway, after orthodontics I can't eat hard or chewy food as much. The retainer can come loose too, and it's not good for the teeth I still have to wear the retainer for about another year, so it's inconvenient. Still, because it improved so much, I don't regret it. For those of you getting orthodontics, keep this in mind.
