It’s already been over five days since I removed my nasal silicone implant~ A year ago, I had surgery with a 1.5 mm silicone implant and alar reduction (tied with sutures and an ear cartilage graft), and last Thursday I removed only the silicone. Actually, I went to have it removed a few months ago too, but the consultant said it was such a well-done surgery and asked why I wanted to remove it, telling me to think about it a little more, so I only removed it now. After my rhinoplasty, I barely had any swelling or bruising, and for a year I had no inflammation and often heard from people around me that the surgery had gone well. It was natural, so most people didn’t know at all. But the nasal bridge that was raised ever so slightly with silicone made my eyes look gathered inward just a tiny bit. But that tiny bit... was such a huge part of a person’s impression, and I don’t think the doctor expected that I would feel that one millimeter after surgery. Before surgery, I said that if my eyes looked gathered inward, I wouldn’t do the bridge, but he said that wouldn’t happen with 1.5 mm.. Before surgery, I had gentle-looking eyes, but after surgery they changed into eyes that weren’t gentle and weren’t sharp, just ordinary. So my nose became pretty, but literally, I ended up sacrificing my eyes for my nose ㅜㅜㅜ That’s why I eventually removed the silicone. It’s only day five now, but I can feel that my eye shape has almost returned, my nose feels so light, and I’m really, really happy. Even when the silicone was inside, I couldn’t say the foreign-body sensation was that severe, but after taking it out, I don’t think I could ever put it in again ㅜㅜㅜㅜ Oh, and they said they didn’t shave down my nasal bridge or hump at all. I was so grateful ㅜㅜㅜㅜ Anyway, I’m very satisfied. It’s still a little bulbous, but compared with the bulbous swelling after cosmetic surgery, the swelling is incomparably less, so when I wear makeup, people around me don’t seem to notice much.
Um, still, it’s true that it looks awkward from the front. Because instead of a straight, high nasal bridge standing there, there’s a flat glabella. Still, it’s much more natural than before, and what I like most is that even when light shines on it, the silicone doesn’t stand out. Of course it hurts less than when I had the surgery, but even if I touch the alar area just slightly, it still hurts a lot ㅜㅜㅜㅜ Still, I’m so, so happy right now. Even though my nose got lower, I got my former gentle impression back, and the doctor said that since there was no inflammation or side effects after the first surgery, I shouldn’t worry this time either, and that I shouldn’t go searching for unnecessary things and buy worries for myselfㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ But as everyone knows, once you come into this community, you end up searching for reviews until your eyes feel like they’ll fall out. Even if they tell me not to worry, how can I help worrying on my own ㅜㅜ I’ve really never written a review like this before, but I received help from many reviews in this community, so I wrote this small review to give back tooㅎㅎ Everyone here who wants to remove silicone, I really recommend it.
