I made a consultation appointment by phone and went in. There was no separate consultation fee for the phone appointment. The hospital looked bigger and cleaner than I expected. Unlike other hospitals, there was no manager consultation before the director consultation. At reception, they did the initial consultation while I filled out my chart at the desk. I went straight to the director consultation, and I entered wearing a headband. They kept asking me to keep my phone on silent even before I entered the director’s office. It felt like the staff were extremely aware of the director. The staff seemed generally young. The director was chic. Not friendly. While looking at my chart, he only gave brief answers while reading the eye surgery I wanted written in the chart. Then he asked if I had any questions and only answered the questions I asked. He didn’t explain the surgical method in detail, only said whether it was double-fold or incision, and answered in a way that suggested the doctor would handle the rest. On one hand that seemed arrogant, but also confident. I wondered if he was just being tsundere, but I also felt a little dismissed, so my satisfaction with the doctor consultation was low. It was the shortest consultation. The consultation manager was also kind, but seemed to answer only rigidly according to guidelines.
