Review of My First Nose Surgery

Before surgery, although the height of my nasal tip was high, I had been thinking for a long time about improving my bulbous nose, wide alar base, and sunken nasal bridge. Because I felt burdened by artificial implants such as fillers and silicone, I kept putting it off, and in consultations at other hospitals up to that point, they had all only suggested artificial implants. Since I was concerned about side effects such as inflammation, it never led to surgery. I wanted improvement through surgery but was afraid of side effects, so I had been debating for years. Then, through a friend's recommendation, I came to know the director at a plastic surgery clinic. Even though the price was somewhat expensive, the biggest deciding factor was that the height of the nasal bridge could be improved using only autologous tissue without artificial implants, and because the doctor is quite famous for revision surgery, I received the surgery with peace of mind. Since the surgery until now, I have been able to get the height and shape I wanted with the material I wanted, so I am very satisfied. Looking back now, I requested the consultation ignorantly without knowing even basic terms that anyone considering nose surgery should naturally know, such as "natural yet glamorous" and "nasolabial angle," and although I only showed a few reference photos and spoke vaguely, I think I was very fortunate that the consultant understood exactly what I wanted and conveyed it to the director. For the surgery, without osteotomy, I had nasal tip cartilage suturing to improve the bulbous nose, alar reduction, and insertion of a 3D custom Glue Diced Cartilage graft to improve the height of the nasal bridge between the eyebrows. I intentionally kept the hump nose, and because the existing position was a little low, only the position was adjusted slightly. About 5 months have passed, and although the scar is faintly visible, except for the scar that can only be seen up close, I've been hearing that it turned out very natural and well, so I feel quite good.
