Hello Quite a lot of time has passed, enough for the difficult period after surgery to feel diluted!! Before surgery, both my upper jaw and lower jaw protruded, so personally, honestly, I thought I looked a bit gorilla-likeㅜㅜ It also made me look strong-willed, unlike the cute look I was going for, and while some people might have seen it as an advantage, in the end self-satisfaction matters the most. Before surgery, when I opened up to people around me about my concerns, they would say, “Why? It’s not to that extent?” But after seeing me after surgery, I heard a lot that it turned out so well, that it doesn’t look obvious, and that I became prettier without looking awkward. Recently I met older relatives, and they all said I had become so much prettier that they couldn’t recognize me. As time goes by, my satisfaction is only growing. Now most of the swelling seems to have gone down, and only minor residual swelling seems to remain. Honestly, at around 3 months, I was a bit scared because I thought I might not look pretty if the swelling went down more, but the more the swelling subsides, the more natural it gets and the lines become more refined, should I say? Even when I’m just still, it feels like there’s a face-shape correction filter on my face haha My sensation hasn’t become dull; rather, it has become more sensitive. The sensation around my mouth comes back, then becomes sensitive again, and the area also keeps changing. I heard that in cases like this people usually have the pins removed, so I’ll probably have pin removal. Because my sensation has become sensitive, even eating something just a little hot makes my cheeks feel burned, and when I eat something cold it feels extremely cold. Even when I feel a sensation that would have made me think I had a burn if it were another area, I don’t actually have a burn(?). It really is just the sensation feeling sensitive, so I can tolerate it and just eat after cooling things down a bit, so I’m not too concerned. Right now, this is about the maximum discomfort I have. As for chewing, if I chew completely hard, I still feel a sore, aching sensation, but I can still chew and eat hard things around the level of almonds well. I haven’t tried things like candy, but I feel like that probably still wouldn’t work. Thicker octopus is hard, so rather than chewing it, I just crush it moderately and swallow it down. I can eat pretty much most things, so I’ve gained a lot of weight,,,,,, I heard gaining weight after surgery isn’t good, so I’m going to work hard on weight management,,, I originally thought I didn’t have much anterior cheek volume, so I had looked into anterior cheek filler a lot, but after surgery, I realized that as the oral structure of my lower face changed, my cheeks had only looked relatively sunken. Of course, there may still be some effect from swelling, but when I looked at the side profile in my progress photos, unlike at the 3-month follow-up, the curvature didn’t look that different from before surgery. Even so, if my anterior cheeks feel plump, I think it really was because of my lower face. My facial expressions are natural too, but hmm, the chin dimpling still doesn’t form naturally haha There is a piece of flesh protruding in the middle, and I think it may be where the muscles were tied after surgery. This is also gradually getting smaller, so I’m going to wait and see! When brushing my upper teeth, I had a painful feeling like my teeth were going to be pulled out, but since I knew they weren’t actually going to come out, I just endured it and brushed. After doing that, I’m not exactly sure whether I got used to it or it improved, but it has gotten much better. By the 1-year mark, I think it may be completely fine!! Because they cut the tissue inside my mouth, I do feel a stiff? sensation especially in the morning and such. So I often loosen the muscles by saying “a-e-i-o-u” like an announcer. Now that I’ve listed everything out, it seems like there are a lot of uncomfortable things, but for me, it is so much more comfortable than sighing while looking in the mirror, and it’s really not a big deal. I’m just so satisfied that if there’s someone worrying because they consider it a complex, I think I would recommend it without hesitation. I did it while stretching myself a bit financially, so even now, over a year after starting work, I haven’t saved any money haha. Sometimes I think, “I worked this much and have nothing left,” but when I think about the changed mindset, satisfaction, confidence, and so on after surgery, I actually even feel like it was cheap. I don’t regret doing it quickly while I was even one year younger, both in terms of recovery and in bringing forward my changed life. If you go into it with the mindset of accepting a certain amount of risk and still thinking, “Even so...!” then I don’t think you’ll regret it, like me. I’m so grateful to the director for doing it well, exactly as I hoped, neither excessive nor insufficient!!!!!(*゚▽゚*)
