Autologous costal cartilage seems sturdier than donated rib cartilage, and although it probably varies from person to person, I feel like using my own rib cartilage might be better.. So for my revision rhinoplasty, I’m 90% leaning toward using autologous costal cartilage. Has anyone here had revision surgery? ㅍㄹㅇㅂ ㅁㅂ ㄹㅅㅌ ㅈㅇㅌ

미진잉잉 I know that even with autologous costal cartilage, the fixation strength? can differ depending on which rib is used. When you go around for revision surgery consultations, make sure to ask which rib they use. Among the places I consulted, the only one I saw that explained it properly was ㅍㄴㅅ.

I developed inflammation 2 weeks after nose surgery, so I took antibiotics, and at week 4 I had the silicone removed. But there is still an inflammatory reaction, so I’m looking into complete removal ㅠㅠ The clinic says we should keep trying
