I received a lot of help here, so I didn’t forget and am posting a review~
First surgery was open rhinoplasty with a septal strut, septal cartilage tip, 2 mm silicone, and alar reduction.
After surgery, my columella came down and it became an arrow-shaped nose, so I requested complete removal, but they said the strut absolutely could not be removed.
One month after the first surgery, they removed only the silicone and septal cartilage in the tip by closed approachㅠㅠ.
It’s now day 45 after removal, and only the septal strut remains inside my nose!
As soon as it was removed, my nostrils lifted up like crazy, so I was shockedㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ...
My original nose was a bulbous nose where you couldn’t see my nostrils at all, and even after surgery it wasn’t a nose where the nostrils showed; rather, because the columella was long, it was a droopy nose.
But as soon as it was removed, it lifted a lot, and the nostril on the side where the silicone was removed became twice as big..
The area where the silicone had pressed/changed the shape makes my impression look a bit blank, but it’s not enough to bother me, so it’s okay.
Now the lifted part has come down a lot, so compared with my old nose it’s still a bit lifted, but it’s about a level where I don’t really mind?
With the silicone gone and only the strut remaining, from the side the tip looks slightly too long, and when I touch it, it feels like there’s a sli~ght boundary, but it’s not very noticeable.
Everything else doesn’t bother me much, but because I couldn’t remove the strut, the shape where the columella is still long....that is so stressful.
I truly think removing the silicone and the septal cartilage in the tip was the right choice.... When the silicone was in, my nose looked longer, artificial.. and it was a straight nose.
Now it’s a bit rounder and wider, so it’s at least okay.
Surgical nose < removal nose < old nose
I’m scheduled to wait 6 months and have the strut removed at the original hospital at the end of June for 500,000 won.
After nose surgery, I had nervous system abnormalities and went to the emergency room several times.. I tasted hell, so even if my nose shape becomes strange, I’m going to sign a waiver and get it removed....
Anyway, I really think removing the silicone and tip was a good choice!
