Sharing my review 2 months after 3 types of facial contouring at Yangyundol Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery! <Reason for Deciding on Surgery> Since I was young, I was stressed about my severe recessed chin + small lower face. After becoming an adult, I had orthodontic treatment, but after orthodontics my lateral cheekbones looked more prominent, my recessed chin was more noticeable, and overall, although my face looked small from the front, my face shape didn’t look pretty from the side or even from slightly different angles. Especially my recessed chin stressed me out so, so much, so after thinking about it for several years and having a consultation, I eventually got 3 types of facial contouring. <Reason for Choosing the Hospital> Since facial bone surgery is a major surgery, I first excluded places that felt like factory-style clinics from my list, and rather than plastic surgery clinics that do many different surgeries at once, I narrowed it down to hospitals specializing only in facial contouring + two-jaw surgery. Also, safety was especially the most important thing, so I mainly narrowed it down to oral and maxillofacial surgery clinics rather than plastic surgery clinics. I consulted about 4 places, and because I had a severe case of protruding mouth and asymmetry, 3 out of 4 places recommended two-jaw surgery. Yangyundol also recommended two-jaw surgery, but they said facial contouring would also be possible and explained it as much as possible in the direction I wanted. I also liked that they explained in detail even within the directions possible with contouring alone. And I liked that there was one head doctor, so after thinking about it until the end, this was the only place among the 4 where I even had a second consultation, and eventually I decided on surgery. I said I wasn’t pursuing an excessive and flashy doll-like line, but wanted as round and natural a U-zone feel as possible, and wanted my chin to come forward as much as possible, and that I was only pursuing the feeling of refining my face shape within a range that wouldn’t greatly change the overall feel of my existing face. I liked that the doctor seemed to listen well to the beauty style I was pursuing rather than pushing things excessively. <Pain and Swelling> After surgery, because of the general anesthesia, my throat hurt so much and I was dizzy, so it was hard. If you get the pain-control injection, the facial pain disappears within an hour.. Because I had surgery while undergoing orthodontic treatment, the stitches inside my mouth got caught on my braces, so it was really hard, and until week 1 I couldn’t eat any food that required chewing, so that was difficult ㅜㅜ Personally, the swelling was very full until the 1-month mark, so I lived wearing a mask. Now at 2 months, the line seems to have settled, but I still have a candy-like swelling? feeling, and my cheeks feel fuller than before!!
