I absolutely need revision surgery for my eyes and nose.
For my eyes, the line is sausage-like, uneven, sleepy-looking, with a C-shaped scar from lateral canthoplasty and a red scar on one side, etc..
For my nose, uneven nostrils, a crooked nose, protruding cartilage, nasal obstruction, etc..
I am a job seeker who has really gone through all kinds of humiliation with both my eyes and nose and is under a lot of stressㅜㅜ
It has already been two years since I graduated, so now I really need to get a proper job,
but before that, I need to improve my damaged face a lot, even if not perfectly, so I went out like this and worked hard visiting about 20 clinics in person..
What I was left with was hurt feelings, huge surgery costs, and comments like, “Why was the surgery done like this?”.. (For reference, I had my eyes, including inner and outer canthoplasty, and my nose done together on the same day at one clinic.)
At first my nose was causing me so much stress that I went mainly for nose consultations.. but I also realized how serious my eyes were in their own way.
Right now clinics are in peak season, with high school students crowding in during vacation,
so they were quoting revision surgery fees much higher than in December..

While taking a short break, today I went to Apgujeong for only an eye consultation at a clinic that was definitely on my revision surgery list.
They said my eyes had been cut far too much at the inner and outer corners, and although the surgery was done with a partial incision, a lot of my pupils are covered, the line is too high,
and because of the red scar + C-shape from the lateral canthoplasty, my eyes are not a normal eye shape.
When I went to other clinics for revision consultations, I could not tell whether they lacked confidence in lateral canthoplasty restoration or whether it really would be better to leave it alone, but more places just told me to leave it alone. They said that if I restore it, the outer corners may turn upward, the eyes may become smaller and look more stuffy, the red scar may not be covered much,
and a scar would still remain.
They said the thick eyelid line is not the issue right now (I personally thought it was the biggest issue),
and that lateral canthoplasty restoration has to be done first before eye surgery is possible.
If I make the pupils more visible with ptosis correction and lower the line without doing restoration, the lateral canthoplasty scar would actually stand out more,
and more sclera would show along the back side of the eyes, making them look like ectropion? eyes, they said.
They said that even though I am in my mid-20s, my eyes have the lower mucous membrane completely exposed like elderly women’s eyes, so they are not a normal eye shape,
and that they had made me look like someone with an overdone plastic-surgery face; they showed that they were angry at the doctor who performed the surgery,,
They said they could not understand doing lateral canthoplasty on eyes that do not open well without even doing ptosis correction. (I also got angry inside all over again; at the time of surgery, I just did what they told me to do.)
As I listened, it made sense..
Most other clinics only recommended full incision + ptosis correction.
After hearing that, I had been worried that the outer corners of my eyes might turn upward, and since only one eye has a red scar while the other does not, I worried that my eye shape might become even stranger than now. But I changed my mind and thought that I definitely have to get restoration.
**The problem is that they say lateral canthoplasty restoration is definitely necessary, but there is a possibility of recurrence..
Since it means closing an area that has already been cut open, it may open up again,,,
The surgery cost is the issue. If I do eye revision + restoration, the restoration fee alone is over 3 million won...
I also need to do my nose, and my nose is also in very bad condition.. ㅜㅜ The cost is way beyond what I can affordㅠㅠ
