I had everything removed yesterday. The surgery took 30-40 minutes, I arrived at the hospital at 2, and I think I was in the recovery room around 6 to 6:30. (As soon as I woke up from anesthesia, my nose hurt a lot, so I got a painkiller injectionㅠㅠ) Since it was removed without inflammation, I don’t think there will be any major problems, but I think I’ll have to keep an eye on it. I’m leaving this post on my way to the hospital today to have the cotton removed^^ (The director did say that because my original nose was a short nose, it could look upturned.) It has been over 5 years since I had the surgery. Back when I joined this community, there wasn’t much information about removal, and there also weren’t hospitals that said they would do removal surgery, so I really went through a hard time emotionally. I went for consultations at several hospitals multiple times, and in the end I had been living while hardening my mind toward giving up, thinking maybe I just had to live like this. I’m really glad to see that the removal community has become very active, and I’m leaving this post because I thought it might help people who had surgery similar to mine. (For people who had surgery using septal cartilage, there probably are almost no hospitals that say they will remove it. Most recommend revision surgery with ear cartilage, saying the nose will collapse. At a hospital famous for nose revision surgery, they suggested using costal cartilage, and I even came out of the hospital and cried.) *I had it removed at the hospital where I had the surgery. To be honest, I don’t recommend the hospital itself. I went through way too much emotionally.
