I had ear cartilage and silicone removed because of inflammation, and they said that if the septal cartilage was completely removed, the columella would collapse, and that to minimize contraction, a little septal cartilage needed to be left, so they left some.
I had originally already decided on removal, but then an inflammatory reaction suddenly appeared, so the stress was no joke.. My original nose was already bulbous and pig-nose shaped, so my whole face had a pig-like look ㅠ But if contracture came because of the inflammation and even my nasal tip lifted, I was so worried about contracture that I thought a pig might ask to be friends with me, to the point that my hair was falling out ㅋㅋㅋ It’s not as much as I imagined, and not as much as I worried about; there’s just no change in the nasal tip angle Of course, the shape keeps changing, so I still can’t feel completely reassured... but I’m trying to think positively Just in case, the hospital prescribed contracture medication too... so if I take the medicine diligently and don’t get stressed, I guess it’ll keep going like this..><
Right now, my nose doesn’t hurt or throb. But the bridge area still hurts a bit when I press it Right after removal, I wrote a review saying I was so happy because my nose was soft, but as time passes, it’s gradually getting hard again Now it seems harder than before removal...ㅋㅋㅋ The doctor also said it’s a normal reaction and that it needs at least about 3 to 6 months to loosen and become soft, and reviews in this community also said it was rock-hard during the contraction phase and kept loosening over time.. So I’m just going to wait without worrying about it until 1 year ㅎㅎ I don’t even want to pay attention to my nose anymore..ㅠ Even if, in the truly one-in-ten-thousand chance, contracture comes to my nose, I’m just going to live with it. I don’t want to have surgery again now..
The one thing that bothers me is the septal cartilage they left.. They said that since my naturally low nose had been raised, if all the septal cartilage was removed, contracture or deformity in the nose shape could occur, so I had no choice..ㅠㅠ Because it was an inflamed nose, the surgery goal(?) was to remove the implant while minimizing deformity of the nose.. I’ve really wanted to learn boxing and kendo for a long time, but since they left the septal cartilage.. seriously.. I don’t even know whether I’ll be able to learn them The doctor says even people without septal cartilage can break their nasal bones if they get hit in the nose while boxing, so it doesn’t matter... but septal cartilage is so hard that even if it just gets tapped lightly, it hurts in a dull, unpleasant way ㅠㅠ Last time, while doing taekwondo, I got properly kicked in the nose and it almost turned into a murder case ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅜㅜㅜ Ah, this is so annoying, septal cartilageㅋㅋㅋㅋugh!!!
