Eight years ago, I was injured from trauma, and my nose became crooked. Because I did not receive proper treatment, the nasal bones settled in their crooked position, and as I grew, they became even more crooked.
On top of that, I recently developed nasal congestion severe enough to keep me from sleeping and nosebleeds three times a day. About two months ago, I had rhinoplasty, hypertrophic rhinitis surgery, deviated septum surgery, and nasal bleeding surgery in Seoul at a place that performs cosmetic surgery and rhinitis surgery at the same time.
For the cosmetic surgery, they performed an osteotomy to correct the crooked nose, inserted silicone into the nasal bridge, and built up the nasal tip with ear cartilage.
About one month after surgery, I developed severe headaches, anemia, and dizziness, and I am currently undergoing detailed examinations at a university hospital.
Now, about two months after the surgery, I regret it very much.. The crookedness of my nose was only noticeable to photo studio photographers or people who are usually sensitive to the external appearance of noses.
I think several times a day that I should have only treated the rhinitis, deviated septum, and nosebleed symptoms. My nasal congestion and nosebleeds (epistaxis) were so severe that I went in urgently and had surgery that same day.
I trusted only the hospital advertisements that show the bright side of surgery, and I decided on surgery based only on the words of the counseling manager and doctor.
I have been rambling.. I heard that naming the hospital is not allowed, so I did not write it. If there is anyone thinking about rhinoplasty, I want to stop them and tell them not to do it. If you are considering surgery because of functional problems of the nose (nasal congestion, nosebleeds), I really want to tell you to go to a university hospital or visit several hospitals.
