It's been 6 days since my rhinoplasty, and today I had the splint and external sutures removed. My nose was originally low, but I wanted it to look really natural because I didn't want to move away from my gentle image. I had a total of 3 consultations at the same hospital. During the first and second consultations, they recommended 3.5 mm, a closed approach, and using ear cartilage for the nasal tip, but suddenly at the third surgery consultation they recommended 5 mm and changed it to an open approach. In the end, I had surgery with the method from the 3rd consultation, but looking at it now, I'm worried because it seems too high. The doctor said it's swelling right now so not to worry, but is there usually a big difference between day 6 after surgery and after the swelling goes down?? I hope it gets much lower than now, but isn't 5 mm raising it a lot...
If, even after the swelling goes down, it's higher than the height I wanted and feels too much, I just want to replace it with a lower silicone implant as soon as possible. I heard it's possible within 2 weeks, but has anyone replaced or removed silicone within a month after surgery?? If I keep waiting for the swelling to go down and more than a month passes, but it's still high and I have to wait until after 6 months for revision surgery, I don't think I'll be able to go outside during that time..
